Ricardo walks to his classroom from the staff access and opens the door, as he does so, a multitude of softly glowing blue eyes stare back from the black void of the room, greeting him with their silent vigil in the mere seconds before he turns on the lights, revealing the sources of illumination to be the status lights of a small library of various documents. Each bookshelf was an ultra-modern mechanical unit with housed relevant documents in a system that functionally resembled a cross between a conveyor belt and a carousel. The files were organized not in alphabetical order but by content and characteristic. The room had the isolated, sterile feel of a medical institution, like an empty emergency ward barren of all life, of all activity, just a structured void of total order. Then, a near silent cacophony of sound broke the conceptual void of audible perception that reigned within the room. The bookshelves, previously arranged in a replication of how a computer database would be organized, glide across the floor into their respective niches in the walls which spontaneously formed. Floating, legless desks, ground-tethered chairs and a progressively higher series of platforms rose from the ground, forming a configuration that perfectly emulated a scaled down lecture hall whilst Ricardo placed his brief case onto one of the free-floating desks that moved in rigid holding patterns on the stage. The student access door unlocks and the people outside are permitted entrance into the room, the familiar setup that they witnessed the first lesson and every subsequent lesson was there as per usual.
