Farah, seemingly done with the conversation she originally started, walks toward Richardo and Fluffy. She arrives, looking relatively normal... as normal as she gets, anyway. She takes out the pills.

"So, what is this stuff, then?"

[Empiricist]

"Eh, I suppose, but procrastination tends to make it worse. So, what sort of education would you like? One where I give you extra classes to teach you progressively, or one where we go sit down and I rant indefinitely until you learn how to? Anyway, by you can't read, what do you mean? Is it that you can't identify words or is it not understanding the individual letters?"

[Again_Dejavu]

"Yes?"

[Fniff]

"Someone can't read? I can teach them. You know, cos being an English teacher is hard work, and you can't take time out for every student in such a large school. Plus, I know how to read and I'm a good teacher."

"Your prescription, apparently. I took the liberty of minimizing the side effects so that you don't get addicted or get stoned. Dosage is much higher now though."

[Fniff]

"You're just nervous starting out, and that's okay. I mean, it's very hard learning how to read. At the start. Then it gets much easi-- Wait, this can't get you stoned?" She sighs and tosses it away. "Seriously, why do I bother editing prescriptions around here?"

[Empiricist]

"Hmm... my records indicate that the administrators don't give a fuck about your education, you're just a specimen for study... well... in that case..."
[100+n] Ricardo conjures another bottle of 3-methylmorphine. This time, he modifies the pills to be insoluble in water as well as near impossible to powderise and remove the addiction as well as most of the side-effects. The effects related to getting stoned however, are maximized. Seriously, at about this point the bottle was more similar to a set of designer narcotics than anything else.
"I think I've removed all of the side effects of this, but take it sparingly... don't bother trying to spike anyone's drink with it, you can't crush it into small enough crystals and it ain't water soluble."

Ricardo throws the new bottle to Farah.
"Okay, shall we get started?"

[Fniff]

"Oh well, I guess I can handle that..." She catches the bottle, then takes out a pill and splits it in two. She tosses one half into her mouth, then swallows it. "... Yep, that's... Good." Farah nods vaguely. "Yeah, I'm just going to... go to my room and stare at... the wall for a few hours."

She stumbles back to her room and closes the door behind her. Well, that's her gone for a while. Thank the lord.

What follows amounts to an entire lecture on reading with practical demonstrations and large amounts of swearing. Ricardo was rather patient despite his rather course language and took care to integrate techniques for quickly reading as well as how to skim through documents for relevant information. He completely avoid mentioning the history of he English language or anything that does not directly contribute to learning how to read.
