I've seen gardens and stuff around the school and I know how to wheedle a person I know into making picnic fare. I'll get my regular clothes on and we'll go, then?
He strips off his boxing gloves and goes to put his shirt on again.

Max nods.
"I h-have a picnic basket at m-my dorm.."

He quirks an eyebrow.

He's obviously noticed the stuttering, but lets it slide as it isn't too too bad.

AND THEN THEY HOLD HANDS AND SKIP OFF TO A PARK

Presumably. And set up the inevitable picnic basket and such.
After the sandwiches or whatever are passed out, Darnos asks, So how'd you get into the Academy?

[SOLDIER First]

"Probably because I'm *munch munch* an anthropomophic cougar.
Most likely."

And were you like this regularly?

[SOLDIER First]

So how's you become anthropomorphic?
He munches on a cookie and grunts appreciatively.

((FIVE MINUTES OF TYPING BAD STORYTELLING GO~))
"Well, originally, I was a normal kid. Had a mom, dad, and an older brother.
Life was pretty good, y'know?
Anyway, one day I was playing in the woods near my house, and I saw a crystal or something.
I was six at the time, though, so I just thought it was a rock and, being six, I naturally reached to pick it up.
When I touched it, I suddenly felt tingly all over, and I saw fur on my arm. So I did the most suitable thing at the time:
I screamed like a frickin' banshee.
My parents came running, and when they saw that I looked like a really big cat, they flipped a shit.
They went to a bunch of doctors, physicians, hell, even a scientist, but they couldn't figure out what the hell happened.
So I was pretty much stuck like that for a while.
I was your average, everyday kid, except I didn't wear shoes any more.
A while back, I got the letter from the academy. My parents and I were like, why not?, so I accepted.
I still have the stone, too."
