Hecate and Circe immediately leave their class, along with the rest of them. The seniors were needed up at the briefing area.
Murburgh is now nothing but a rift.

Very recently, the village of Murburgh, several miles north of our school, was swallowed up by an unidentified dimensional disturbance. As I have had experience with dimensional disturbances, I have been asked to coordinate an operation to investigate the rift and to see if it can be closed."

"Any more of a specific plan?"

((I dunno. I asked Rag for a stat base on Hecate and he said about 1000. Then again, Hecate is a senior.))
"As I understand it, you have all recently been on a physically and mentally taxing mission to Ravlania, yes?"

"Well, yeah.. I'm obviously still in my wheelchair, which isn't ideal.."

"According to this mission briefing I've been handed, the upperclassmen are to protect the perimeter around the rift. As the freshmen have had less casualties, they are being sent through the rift."
Hecate's and Circe's eyes widen.

[Projeck37]

"Wait.. We're sending them through the rift? That's insane!"

"Forgive my slip. I meant to say that was a last resort.

For now, the freshmen are to investigate, but not enter the rift. They will only enter if we cannot do anything else about it."

"So we're throwing meat to the lions practically, in the last case scenario.. that's kinda sick, really."

"If the rift is not stablised somehow, the entire region will be compromised. I apologize, but I did not plan this out personally."
Madeleine seems to agree with Ashley.
