Up for 36 hours, can't sleep
« on: July 23, 2013, 03:30:59 pm »

The worst part is that I didn't loose concentration, and I don't feel tired, and it's freaking me out.

Go to a clinic, and maybe less sugar and caffeine.

Go to bed and close your eyes. Try to lay still for 10 minutes.

Grab a chainsaw and start pruning some bushes.  Wait no... do the opposite of that.

Do some exercise. Just don't use any heavy equipment or go into a dangerous area (ex. don't bench press or run down a street without a sidewalk).

Keep doing what you're doing, but don't do anything dangerous when you start to feel drowsy.

36 hours isn't bad, you could've just missed the normal time for your body to snooze and it doesn't want to play catch up/

Go for a calm drive down the nearest busy highway so you can get yourself to relax a bit.

I'd advise against driving while in a state in which you could suddenly crash. In both senses of the word.

Sleeping pills?  Go for a jog maybe to make yourself a little more tired.  Eating a lot of food also makes me tired although I don't know if that's normal.

To me, there's nothing unusual about this.  When I was younger, this happened to me too many times to count.  I also didn't drink any caffeine or anything.  In the future, if you don't have any major responsibilities to worry about, just roll with it.

Best solution to get a normal sleep schedule is probably just more aerobic exercise.

I've been awake for thirty-three hours. It's kind of fun seeing as I spent most of that time playing video games, and video games are one of the things in this world that almost always make me happy.
