There wasn't a situation really. You asked a question and I answered it. It's easier than me trying to cover all the details of your characters' past, and you've all got the right idea anyways. And once we get to Chapter 1, and the timeskip that comes with it, that won't even matter anymore, since you guys will have learnt a bit more about this new world through your life experiences. And by the way you're mostly all going to be split up. You'll get a choice as to where you'll spend your years growing up before Chapter 0 ends.

Yeah it's a planet. I thought all the talk of islands was confusing you guys. The islands just float above the planet because [DATA REDACTED].

I dunno. I'm bad at visualising scale. Let's say the island is the size of Babuyan island (it's in the Philippines). So about 13 km long in a northeast and southwest direction, with a width of about 9.7 km.
