How can clouds be male?

I don't think he's literally a cloud. Some kind of spirit, but he looks like a cloud/storm/face/thing.

Well Dwarmin was all..
Action: Be illuminated as to whats going on :P
..so then I was all "damn it do I really have to spell it out for you??!" He left me no choice. :L

And I only said it because my inventory still showed I was wearing leather wings. :P

Also, given Derrys 'hunter' archetype, he'd probably gain like, animal powers. Maybe gain the best traits of a wolf? Like enhanced speed, senses, etc. And he should be able to talk to animals too!

Pretty much, an upgrade to his current abilities with lots of room to take it storywise.

Alex: Wizardy magic (uncontrolled for now, of course)
Cromwell: Minor precognition.
Derry: I'm not sure, the ability to interact with Bethany without blushing?
Kyle: Displacement, like a displacer beast.
Wellington: Something to make him tougher. Maybe regeneration, maybe something like rocky skin if you're willing to go the Thing route.
Yuck. None of those sound fun at all.

Well, what're you looking for?
Derry having a beast form or some kind of 'animal mode' sounds cool.
Beth already has wings.

Hmm..

Let me think.

So all thats left is Alex, Kyle and Jack:
- Alex is an item specialist. Bombs, poisons, potions and such. Along with some magical abilities I haven't thought of yet.
- Kyle is a rogue that dabbles in illusion magicks.
- Jack is a storm mage with low-cost, multi-hit magicks.

What kind of physical augments would fit here? If we can't think of anything, I could always just give that character a stat-buff instead, which would kind of lend to the whole "this is a crapshoot, most of you guys got lucky" thing that I'm feeling.

I could see Alex getting some kind of mechanical hand or manipulator, but I'm not sure that fits your theme. Seems vaguely appropriate, though.

Not sure about Kyle. You could do stuff based on particularly roguish animals  (basically rats), but Derry's already got an animal theme, so again I dunno.

Jack (who uses danmaku?! :3) would probably do fine with just more magicks, to be honest. :P

Agreed. I specifically chose precognition for him because of his goal.

Minor shapeshifting for Kyle, and I'm running out of ideas for myself. Maybe I'm just concerned about not showing favoritism through the abilities I suggest for me.

Derry gets a beast mode.
Beth has wings.
Kyle can have some sort of shapeshifting if thats okay with him, but I'll have to figure how exactly it would work. Maybe he could turn into monsters he's seen before and use their abilities?

I don't just want to give Jack more spells, unless he got some sort of ultimate spell??
Go nuts GWG. Any and all ideas are welcome. The more we get the easier it'll be to narrow it down to the perfect ability.

What if Alex had some sort of weapon power? Some kind of summon sounds right for his character. Maybe a guardian or something? Kyle already has a pet though..

I was imagining something more like disguisey shapeshifting for Kyle.

My writer's block is acting up again. I'll let you know when I think of something.

Ninja'd by double-post.

What kind of thing were you thinking of?

I'm up and I want to say I am fine with minor shape shifting. Say being able to use typical sneaky animal powers. Also it will be useful given the fact that a snake that can almost fly actually exists.
