You did. Which would be reason enough to betray you.

And who would believe she did it of her own free will?

If we get caught do we get to keep playing?
They attack you like normal enemies, so it'll just do HP damage. The exception is the Elite guards (there will be some near the final stretch) which have an arrest ability that won't insta-end your game, but it will affect what happens to you during the timeskip. You won't lose, but you won't have the same opportunities that the other players get by escaping. If you run out of HP its the same as being arrested.
Wait, lower-level guards can't arrest people?

Everyone. Since she did.
"Of her own free will" does not cover being coerced or forced into it. Given that Beth is a child, I'm guessing that nothing short of a confession of malicious intent would make people think she wasn't being forced or coerced to do so by Dran, who--being an adult forcing children to do his crimes for him--would not fare well either under the legal system or in jail. ("Wait, you got put here for a crime you made a little girl do, because you wouldn't do it yourself?")

Actually, if they hadn't physically picked my character up and forced her to parts unknown (that sounds wrong), Beth would have probably agreed to go with them anyway. Even a quick "Lets get out of here, we have an airship!"

I just have to react this way in character to being ABDUCTED BY AN ADULT.

I think we're actually stealing an airship, we don't own one.

What are we going to call this airship once we steal it?

 They're kids, remember? :P

How about "The Homeward Bound"? Since they are trying to go home, it seems to fit.

You could always call it "The Devil's Plunder"!

I'll stop now.

You have GOT to be kidding me. So it's Grand Theft Airship as well as stealing potentially irreplaceable scrolls? Thankfully most of us have some way to escape.
