Actually I don't use quotation marks because I have to keep up with RP in that particular game, and none here because I don't really care.

((Seriously, do you have a life-threatening allergy to quotation marks or something?))
Not necessary if you're colouring your dialogue instead. At least for me to do my job.
It's odd, though. And if hypothetically he has another character in another game who does the same thing, which brought my attention to it, and in that game his text was, say, navy blue and hence almost indistinguishable from normal text, you might get the idea that this is not a hypothetical scenario at all.
Why is it odd? Pretty much all players colour their dialogue, some use quotations, and even fewer use both. It's actually better for me because it's so strikingly different from normal text with just quotes and thus really super easy for me to spot. I am pretty glad he isn't using navy blue in this game though, but as long as people don't leave it in blocks of normal text it's not even bad.

But, still...proper grammar! Why do we feel like ignoring that? What is this, Facebook?

Quotation marks are punctuation, which is part of grammar!

Oh wow. I must be really tired (yeah it's like 6am). I thought you typed "question marks", which is odd because I typed "quotation" anyways. Hands and eyes aren't working together right now.

No but really the quotation marks aren't necessary. I'd rather have everyone use colour all the time even if it meant they never used quotations ever again.

I had to retype some of these sentences something like three or four times. I'm hitting the sack.

By this point, Alex dragging his feet is as much from not wanting to admit that he might have been wrong as anything.
