Hashak made a very strange sound when it was announced that his house would be Regents - an irregular buzzing, which came from his vocal chords and not his enhancements. He was laughing.
"Well! I show some honesty, and all of a sudden I become the second most likely assassination target in the empire! All pleasantries aside, Emperor, you honor me with the title of Imperial Regent. I will hope that I am never called to use it, however."
He lifted his datapad in the air, making it hover between his hands with a magnetic field, and sent some proposals through.
"Since House Shandokar's worlds are all in the core, and the Emperor has the intention of garrisoning half the imperial fleet in that region, I must admit I see no reason to keep our standing armies on the field. If the Conclave is able to knock half our ships out of the sky in a single campaign, we'll have greater problems than invasions. As such, House Shandokar will transmit five supplies and five intelligence to the Empire, to be used as the Emperor wills.
There is also the subject of Forgeworlds which we must attend. We Kenturo have wanted nothing more than starting up the great forges and reviving the lost industry of the times of the Wraithers war ever since the empire settled into peace. Industry is our talent, and industry we shall make! However, since the ban on Shipyard worlds, my House has had no reason to keep a team of spacial engineers, which we will require if we are to ship out all the supplies to be produced. If we could be granted five engineers, we could make a Forgeworld this very quarter - Kar already has all the infrastructure, and simply needs it all to be started up again. Furthermore, I believe it would be possible to create a second Forgeworld during this year, although I can make no promises on the subject.
Of course, all supplies would be donated to the Empire, unless we are given reason to fear for our worlds' security."
