Where?

I'm not sure if that's something we need to do beforehand. It'll happen organically within gameplay, anyhow. We can't really define a race forever in any case, as they're bound to change over the centuries.
I was trying to paint in broad strokes...but you're right, we should probably figure out what gods are making races and what they would make.

The orcs are humanoids of big size. They are strong and tough and of black skin, and they have a link with nature. This link makes them sometimes fall into a feral state while fighting, but also gives them some great regenerating abilities. Although they cannot grow lost limbs, this regeneration allows them to live for a long time (centuries in some cases) as long as they don't get killed. They would start by living in tribes, and would not change unless something really big happened. They are not stupid, but are not as interested in science or magic as the other races.

I think these might fit as created by the god of Earth, as they are nomads that have a link with nature. Of course that would be the "base". The orcs could change a lot with time.

Alright then. Io has his race.

Let's give those shidhe to Ae and make humans matriarchal seafarers* made by Uy, because having the relateable civilization in early is a good thing.

*To start; later humans may diverge from this.

Those sound like great Events for you to make. In gameplay. I know, I know, I'm a stubborn bastard.

Wouldn't a 'magical' race go against magic being rare/Gifted-limited, anyway?

Event: The Dying of the Light [End of the 1st/Primordial Period]

And so it came to pass the radiant sun, the Light of the Gods, would fall and plunge the world into an era of darkness and fear.

So the Light rose for many years, bathing the land in warmth and prosperity. From the depths of the world the Old Gods watched the ascent, pleased. But in the deep, where the godspawn knew only darkness, envy began to cloud the minds of their children. The guarding of the Light had been entrusted to Atamne, the Torchbearer, son of Ae. While he stood guard high over the world, the Light was safe.

But Atamne was weak of heart, and at night dark gods spawned by the magics of Io came up to him, beckoning him to join their feasts in the heart of the world. For days Atamne resisted, holding to his duty, but temptation triumphs with both men and gods. Atamne followed the dark gods to the depths, where they battled and overcame him, binding him to the abyss with fire and ice so he could not call for aid. Then, as one, they emerged onto the world above and rode out to claim the Light for their own.

But Ae had bound the sun with his will and it could not be moved from its path. In their rage, the young gods rose to strike it, again and again, until the Light shattered, raining in a thousand pieces upon the world and bringing destruction and fire to the land and the mortal races. The Old Gods awoke to the world plunging in darkness. Their vengeance would be terrifying to behold - a war of the gods was about to begin...

Event: The First Children and the Gift (After the creation of the gods)

The gods had created the world. Io created an enormous sphere of rocks, and put it in space. This place was simply called Home. Ae then encircled this sphere with air, preventing what was inside from leaving the sphere, and protecting the sphere from the void beyond it. Finally Uy gave birth to the seas, oceans, lakes and rivers, creating the conditions for life to appear.

Plants and animals appeared all over Home, but Uy thought the world needed more. She talked about this with Io, and they decided to create a new life that could understand the things around them.

Uy took some mud from the shore of a river and casted it into humanoid form. This way she created an statue of a what would be later known as a human. The statue was of great height, and when Uy infused it with life, it broke into twenty-two pieces that became the first humans, fishermen that prayed to Uy for help and to give thanks for the new births.

Meanwhile, Io had gone to the forests and volcanoes. He took obsidian, and created a number of statues with it. He then bathed the statues with the blood of several beasts that wandered the woods and prairies. This way he created the black skinned orcs by creating the first seven of them. Three females, three males and a shaman, who would be instructed by Io to guide his people.

After a while, Ae finally noticed the new mortals. He was envious of these people who worshipped his brother and sister, and he created his own worshippers. He took the lightest leaves from the forests and the winds that blew in the world and created a fairy like race of winged humanoids, the Shidhe. However he was afraid that his new creations would not be able to compete with those of his siblings, so he gave them a part of his power. He gave them the Gift of Magic.

When the races met each other, this created conflict, as the Shidhe reagarded both orcs and humans as inferior to them. A war would have started, and the Shidhe would have enslaved the other two races, but Uy and Io told their brother that he had gave too much power to the Shidhe. He saw this, and they used their combined powers for the first time since the creation of the world.

They took the Shidhe's power, and then reallocated it, putting it inside the world, making it move inside all species. This way each race would have a small part of this Gift, with a small percentage of their populations having it. The Shidhe had the greater number of Gifted, but the war would had been impossible to win, and a treaty was made.

This way the first races came to be, and the Gift was created.

(If you believe this event is too broad, just tell me. It's just that sometimes I start to write and I don't know when to stop)

Event: Appearance of Darkness. [Between The First Children and The Gift and The Dying of the Light.]

This speaks about the end of a pure world and the creation of the dark gods.

As the Gods expanded their power, house and world, they also expanded their family.
Entrochi was the first God-child to be born. But Uy , The First Mother, was alone and in complete darkness when she faced the immense pain of birth. Not knowing what was happening to her, she cursed and hated whoever caused it. When her child had finally entered the world, Uy only felt the pain fade away. Exhauted, she rested. So she had brought a terrible fate on her child, who will now never again love his mother, fo she has given him his terrible face. He swore to one day destroy her and all other living beings but his own...

Period: The Age of Strife [Between The Primordial Age and the First Age of Destruction]

As the children of the Gods expanded across the world, they learnt much of their own mortality, and how the the conflict between Gods would affect them much more than they first realised.

Period: The Wildspell [Somewhere after the Age of Strife but before the Twilight of the Gods]

A terrible event weakened the fabric of reality.  During this age the Primordial Chaos began to seep into the world, creating unpredictable changes.  Great creation and destruction came to pass, and mortals found themselves access to great power at terrible cost.

Event: Creation of Asho (along with modern geological structure)
Io was lonely in the earth. It had created the orcs to live on the surface and sometimes enter the shallowest parts of Its domain, but that is not the same. One day, Io saw the birth of Entrochi, and was inspired. Io looked deep within itself, and separated an aspect of Its consciousness, the fiery passion for life. This being, Asho, went deeper into the Earth, with a few burrows to the surface which we now call volcanoes. The surface of the world was still Io's domain; as Io lacked Its passion, it became cold and hard. People began to die, until Ae and Uy used their presence to melt at the surface of the world. Thus, magma, stone, and soil were formed from the once-homogeneous Earth.

The Fate of the First Gods (Event at the end of the First Age of Destruction)
The new gods, the children of Uy, Ae and Io, had battled against their parents. However, the fight seemed lost despite their great efforts. Their parents were the first among gods, and as such, were nearly inmortal and invincible. Finally one of the rebels proposed something. They deceived their parents to go to the ancient place were the mortals were born.

The power of the gods was still present there, and the gods could not go to that place without changing themselves into forms more "mundane" than their real bodies, as the power their bodies had could be dangerous to that Eden.

Uy took the shape of a giant sea serpent; Ae showed as a giant hawk with the head of a dragon; and Io appeared as a giant mix of bull and lizard. These shapes were powerful, for they still had their powers, but they had to put a little effort in maintaining these shapes, changing some of their magical power into physical power. That little effort was their ticket to oblivion.

Their children took advantege of that and they used a spell to put them into slumber. The old gods, having to maintain their own spells, failed to defend themselves. They were then taken to three temples that had been prepared by their children to act as seals. With time and lies, these seals became protected by those who had worshipped the old gods, and their names were forgotten. They no longer would be creator gods. For the people who populated Home, they had become Taninim, the Serpent of the Seas; Renanim, the Primordial Dragon; and Bahamut, the Beast of Earth. Their old deeds had been forgotten, their names were now taught to children as names to fear.

Humans, orcs and shidhe forget easily, and so, the new gods rose to power, and the old gods were forgotten and left as the Three Beasts of Apocalypse.
