Look into one of the pits, to make sure that there's nothing in them. We don't want to be ambushed.

Seriously, guys. Why in the name of everything that is Gygax did you go down the trapdoor. That makes no sense. No sense at all. It's obviously the way up from whatever level scrapheap fell into.

Also, can I have the magical shortsword?
