I'm running into a magic maze and it not a maze being so I'll lose it regardless.

The walls of this chamber are linked with twenty human
slaves, their ankles and wrists shackled and
manacled together. On the same wall as the door
can be seen the shadow of a large ogre-like figure
brandishing a whip. Gutteral commands and pitiful
screams can be heard. At each crack of the whip,
the slaves cringe and cower. A trap door is set in the
floor at the far end of the narrow room.

What do you do?

You promptly give away your cover. Behind the alcove is a small, stunted orc, brandishing a whip and making the noise of an ogre, hitting a wall. Two orcs with short swords stand up, grinning wickedly. The shackles on the slaves snap off, and 20 odd slaves draw swords from under their ragged robes. Two of them near the trap door draw knives and hide in the non-existent shadows because Gygax is a dick. One of them begins to cast a spell, Amd Paralyzes GWG.


What do you do?

Sigh and advance into combat, hopefully being backed up by the others. Attack the ogre.

You throw knives into the crowd of orcs, and hit two seperate ones, for 2 and four damage respectively. One of them slumps over dead.
