If you had eyes, you would see that it had already been taken by Xantalos.

Drink all the wine out of my wineskin and fill it with vinegar from the barrels.

You chug your wineskin, and get yourself quite a buzz. Unfortunately, you are too drunk to use magic now. Your silence spell is forgotten and lost.

I take the lead, and sneak down the hallway!

You are so sneaky your own mother forgot your existence. (That's hyperbole. Probably)

This room is almost bare except for the stairs on one
wall and the door on the opposite wall. 5’ from this
door is a mound of tarry looking rags. Many flies
buzz about the room and the air has a sweet honey smell

I listen through the door while waiting for the others to catch up.

Said mound of tarry rags has other idea. You are slapped in the face by a long, ropy tentacle for 1 point of damage. Sticky, acid, goo sticks to your skin.

Squick! I run away. Let's throw vinegar at the Tarry Rag Monster!

You try to run away, only to realise your feat are stuck. In the acid goo covering the floor.

Allright. I scream for the others to fetch the goddamn vinegar already and help me out before I turn into plant nutrients and swing my short sword vainly at the giant plant while waiting for them to arrive.

Grab a barrel of vinegar and walk confused into the same room as scriver.

"What?"

[Reudh]

Hearing Scriverdude's wimpy screams, I pick up the bucket of vinegar in one hand and wield my longsword in the other. I head over to save him. (Hopefully.) Except the bucket isn't there anymore and GWG has taken it already, so I follow him to back him up.

"Hold on!"

You notice that Scriver appears to be being eaten by a carnivorous plant. His lashing seems to have done some good, and he stabbed it in a weak spot for 8 damage.
