Dynasty Name: Dapperon
Dynastic History: The Dapperon dynasty was established when the Gerenbede were first subsumed into the Empire; the nation of Dappere was the only one to betray the rest of their race and join the Galactic Imperium right off. As such, they were treated with a far gentler hand than their loyal brethren, and were able to assist the rest of Gerenbede society make it's way out of the low niche they'd found themselves in. While not a great race, and certainly not on level with humans, they are no longer the slave-race they once were, and the Dapperons have made a come-back, to try and lead their race to greatness.

Race (Minor): Gerenbede
Race Physical Description: The Gerenbede are an odd species, one of the few silicon-based life-forms in existence, and have a remarkable similarity to the old human myth of salamanders or ifrits. This partially due to the fact that their internal body temperature is on the order of 2350 degrees Fahrenheit. As a result, they do not breathe oxygen, as it would ignite in any atmosphere warm enough for them, but rather sulfur. Their bodies are covered in small, shiny scales, and their upper body is humanoid, but their lower body is a long, snake-like tail, though it has spines along either side, and features an unfolding fin at the very end, along the bottom. Their scales have colors ranging from a silver-blue to a golden-green, and can change over time with continued moods or events in a Gerenbede's life. Their back is the major point of difference from other species, as they have no spine, but rather two, one on either side of their body, and in most situations, their back looks like a large mass of scales and flesh. When it unfolds, it becomes something remniscent of wings, fibrous membranes and thin limbs extending out into five different pairs. While they cannot, of course, fly with these, not the least reason being that they weigh nearly a ton and a half on average, they are not meant for flight but rather as cooling vanes. Their world's temperature can vary greatly in different regions and times, and so a combination of various cooling and heating systems were needed to survive both harsh 2000 degree winters and rough 2500 degree deserts. Their diet is a primarily 'carnivorous' one, and they cannot subsist on the same foods other species can. Their home world, being thrice the mass of earth, supplies some of their nutrition needs, but many Gerenbede have taken to consuming metal tinctures in their drinks to supply their rather unorthodox meal requirements.
Racial Society: Gerenbede have had an array of cultures develop on their home world, ranging from feudalistic clans to enlightened republics and democracies. At the joining of the empire, the various nations and colonies had merged into two major groups, with a few lesser nations that managed to survive the annexation being forced to side with one or the other. The Kevtlar, an imperialistic faction with an open market and a caste based society, was in a cold war with the Juss Iraphire, a religious, communal organization whose doctrine determined one's every action. Faced with the threat of the Galactic Imperium, the two set aside their differences temporarily to join forces against the aliens. They were crushed, utterly, but have since made a come-back from their times of fringe society. Excellent workers with incredible strength, their metabolic needs mean that they are more suited for design and individual construction than manual labor, and they have been able to take many worlds as their own that other races cannot inhabit. Present-day, their society is a feudal one, but is religiously based, centered around the doctrine of Bors-Dapper-Kamliffe. There is no translation to english, truly, as it is something wholly unique to their culture, and few outsiders learn much of it(nor do many want to).
