L.C.S. - You're Playstyle
« on: July 21, 2013, 01:40:51 am »

Hey. Made this thread asking everyone how they play LCS.

Here's how I play.

Set all liberals to 'Sell T-Shirts' and hold down the 'W' key.

I normally have a very small population, I don't think I've ever had over 10 non - sleeper liberals in any of my games.

I grind my squads to have massive disguise and sneak, then send them on stealth missions.

I loved going solo, usually making some sort of stealthy ninja, with extremely good physical stats.  I'd raise public opinion simply by killing a conservative on every building on the map.

I have a full squad, all of them with high-end weapons and fully loaded.

Then just go and kill everything that step into my way.

I think we might get along just fine.

Anyways, I like going mafia style. Train the founder's law, persuasion and seduction skill, use hippies as mafioso and lawyers, judges and cops as sleepers. Train the hippies in all weapon skills and dodge then send them off to university for the stealthy skills. Founder is just collecting donations while the hippies go around stabbing and shooting conservative children. It usually works quite well if I have a couple hackers too.

Left-wing militia commandos: a direct action team, assembled from Army Vets armed with knives and trained with stealth and, for individual members, security, persuasion et al, backed by a hacker team in one safehouse and legal activism team in another.

Lately I've been taking a more silent approach.  That is, founder is a brilliant genius chessmaster silently leading a massive sleeper network.

Three action squads - one unarmed ninja badasses, one the typical army gear death squad, and one lightly-armed infiltrators - supported by hackers, LG writers, and clothesmakers to make money.

Sounds like a pretty cool idea!

Seriously, this thread is giving me ideas how to play when I get back to LCS.

I've been playing with the founder as a stealthy professional criminal with some charisma, then raise charisma and seduction by conversing and dating, while either prostituting or soliciting donations. Then I recruit a full squad, raise the squad to full juice all the while expanding my sleeper network and releasing oppressed workers. The oppressees go to work, I take the time required to raise them to 50 juice with on-site spraying tags, so they can learn things.

I train one of my original six, usually the leader in psychiatry when I can afford the classes, and then start kidnapping dozens of conservatives, who promptly become enlightenend sleepers. I usually end up with around 50 or more of these, and when someone from my original six dies, I call one of the enlightened to replace them. This usually takes me to the end, having sleepers everywhere to warn me of any raids and the firepower to kill everything short of tanks without casualties.

Make my leader The Most Interesting Man on Earth, datenap Navy SEALS and Agents then send them on murdersprees while my leader gets hippies and hackers to make cash to fund the liberal war machine.  Agents stab CCS leaders in the face while the SEAL's shoot up every single place.

I run a big conspiracy, basically. Founder goes thief and builds up a significant bank roll robbing apartments for months. Then he hires out department heads for Legal Operations and Illegal Operations. They'll go on to hire their cells, possibly with another dead link between them and the first cell member. I usually have the Hippy Department, the Murder Department, the Digital Department and the Money Department.

I start with a charismatic and persuasive Founder and recruit an intelligent fashion designer (to make disguises and repair loot) and an intelligent and charismatic psychologist (he will serve as the homebase interrogator and doctor and will take courses in psychology and first aid when idle).

I will then have two main squads, one is my defense/assault squad and is composed of one locksmith, one taxi driver, and 4 army veterans. All members of this squad should have relatively high STR, AGI, and health. I will equip them with M4s (most accurate), armor, and just park them in my home base as protection from CCS. Once we know where the CCS base is, I go in there and shoot the place up repeatedly to train their juice and skills.

My main squad is my infiltration squad, and these are who gets their hands dirty (except no murders or assault! too much heat). It's composed of one hacker, one locksmith, one taxi driver, and 4 lawyers. All members should have very high intelligence and charisma, and maybe agility too in order to escape easier. The hacker is useful for on-site hacking, but also off-site hacking and stealing credit cards. The locksmith is great at teaching others security and cracking safes, as well as stealing as many sportcars as I want. The lawyers are amazing at disguise, bluffing, persuasion, seduction, and defending themselves in court. I train the infiltration squad by lockpicking apartments, and then putting on disguises my fashion designer made and training disguise. After a while, I basically can walk anywhere I want and can almost always successfully bluff SWAT teams during Alarm status. My taxi driver driving a sportscar serves as a nearly foolproof getaway.

During downtime, my founder teaches others persuasion and law, in case they ever get arrested. I usually have a sleeper janitor or secretary in every location so I'm warned of imminent raids. In my last run, arrest was not a concern once I kept hopping from safehouse to safehouse.

Both the assault and infiltration squads gain so much juice from their antics and are well-trained in persuasion that it's easy to further expand if I want to. I pick an abandoned factory in another city and recruit another assault squad and as many journalists as I can fit. I park them and have everyone write news for the liberal guardian. Last game I had about 30 intelligent journalists working for me. It's incredibly easy to shift public opinion this way and the longest part of the game is waiting for government to catch up. Most of my money came from either selling off expensive loot (army base and corp hq are amazing for this) or stealing CC numbers.

This approach has worked for me several times and makes the game almost too easy
