1. Demigods are defined by a god's DNA. Not the actual blood.
2. Isaac was literally going to break in half, his brain was literally going to stop functioning. That sounds pretty last resort to me.

Silly Projeck, remember when Rag posted the fluff from the first book PastVornar read? It said that Blood Magic extended to life manipulation as well. So basically, once Vornar reaches sufficient power levels, anything biological is possible.
