Damn it. Why did Vornar have to die right after we found out that Victoria's blood is toxic to most living creatures?

Wait, come to think of it. Are Selina and Victoria the only students in Alpha? Soran, Surt and Kate mysteriously stopped moving while Vornar got killed...

You know, I had an awesome 'reason you suck' speech lined up for both the Headmistress and Nikki. Plus a plan to beat Nikki in a duel so long as I could set the conditions of the duel (no weapons, no mana, one nonlethal attack each).

Hell, I may as well give all that plus the spells I was going to write into the book lore.

You may have fooled them, but I see you for what you are, crone-child. The rest see a pretty five year old girl playing with her friend. I see the evil old bitch cackling and rubbing her hands as she draws another child into her web. I WILL end you. I will not allow one who preys on children to live.

You may have saved the world a thousand times over, but have you made it a better place? In all your life, how many of your actions have helped people who needed it? Go ahead and kill me; I know how I will be judged. My entire life, I have made the world a better place. I may not have saved it - hell, I may have put it in jeopardy! But I made it better to live in. I know that those who I have protected will remember me. I know that they are grateful to me and mine for ridding their city of the bastards who preyed on them. And I know that there will be ones who find the courage to continue that work. People who will understand that saving the world means nothing if it becomes unworthy of protecting. I have a legacy that will make this world kinder and safer. You have one that will make it harsh and painful, a world of horror and callousness. A world of 'the end justifies the means' and 'I was only following orders'.

So, in the end, which one of us has done better by this world? Me, the teenage boy, or you, the unimaginably poweful woman. I think I know the answer.

-Blood Bond Summoning: ('Good') Necromancy/Blood Magic, uses blood of a dead person mixed with the spellcasters while both still live. The spell summons the dead person to the side of spellcaster.
-Vengeance of the Fallen: ('Good') Necromancy, calls back a large amount of spirits who were killed by the foe or the foe's people. (E.g. everyone killed by an Ash court vampire, everyone killed by a ____ fae, etc).
-Self Sacrifice: fuels a spell with the casters life force instead of 'mana' or 'MP'.
-Blood Knight Armoury: Blood Magic/Fleshcrafting/Material Shaping. Forms blood into the armour and weapons of a medieval knight on the casters body. Weapons + armour is only as strong as the caster's will and is crystalline.

-Challenge her to a duel.
-Set conditions as: One blow, non lethal. No weapons. No mana (or MP) can be used.
-Let her take first strike.
-Survive.
-Use Self Sacrifice to fuel a pretty extreme blood burst to try and sever the nerves in her back and limbs.

But doesn't Nikki have a +210 bonus to strength rolls?

That's why it would have to be only a nonlethal attack each.

But wouldn't it still apply if she was merely going for incapacitation since roll results are usually scaled with context?

Look, it would have been my only chance. Save for using the Blood Bond Summoning (so long as Rag had OKed it) to bring back my gang for a no-holds barred beatdown (Which would have been fucking awesome!). Plus trying to beat her would have required so much Self Sacrifice I probably would have ended burning away half my lifespan. It would have been my only shot at winning.

P.S. Rag, can I get a little scene showing what exactly happened to Vornar after he died?

I was kinda hoping for a conversation with Death, maybe a (rigged) game of chance to come back to life, then off to the afterlife for a tearful reunion with my gang and a satisfying climax to Vornar's story.

Sort of yes, sort of no.
Let's put it this way, Vornar is going to get the chance to help... "fix" the issue with Nikki, Angel and eating kids.

With a certain interpretation of "me" I suppose you could look at it like that.
You'd be wrong, of course, but it wouldn't be entirely inaccurate.
