Last Sapient Standing(Sci-fi RTD)[Spellcasters Welcome!]
« on: July 20, 2013, 09:59:36 pm »

("We're Off to Kill the Dragon" is going well. I thought I might up the complexity.)

Somehow, you've been enslaved. Don't worry, it happens to the best of us. Even the most powerful warriors in the universe get enslaved sometimes.

Sadly, you aren't them. Your path to freedom will be paved not by heroic deeds, but by treachery and deceit. You will kill and be killed for the entertainment of Space Pirates and Eccentric Trillionaires.

Character Sheet:
Name:(See Race List for advice on naming aliens.)
Race:(See Below)
Age:(See Below)
Skills:(Your 3 main skills)

Race List:

Elders:
The Elders are humans, but not as we know them. They look human enough, but live for thousands of years by a combination of good genes, medicine, and magic. They aren't very strong, but they all have inherent magical abilities. Most also have cybernetic implants. They usually grow to about 7 feet tall.
Names: Generic sci-fi names, or normal names on earth today.

Lowers:
The Lowers are humans who have been genetically engineered to serve. They live short(60 years at most), sad lives in mines and factories. They're shorter than Elders; Their average height is around 5 feet tall. Even so, they're as thick as they are tall. Lowers possess enormous strength, but little intelligence. Some hate the Elders, but most view them with religious awe.
Names: Only biblical names(Lowers are VERY religious, although few can read.)

Reptilians:
Reptilians, or as they prefer to be called, "The N'bornth", are 8 foot tall monsters. They're trained from birth to kill and survive. They're lean, but incredibly strong. They follow a strange religion, based on an artifact that fell from space. They chant in a language humans cannot replicate in their strange meeting places. Reptilians are naturally talented in crafting and combat, but magic is alien to them. They abhor cybernetic enhancement, and make great Space Pirates. They live for around 500 years.
Names: Lovecraftian.

Dry Squids:
Dry Squids, or Arida Polypus, are magic users, quite plainly. They don't learn to move using their weak little arms; they learn to levitate magically within days of hatching. They generally grow to about 6 feet tall, but levitate several feet off the ground. They live for around 300 years. They can't hold guns, but they can stop bullets with their minds. In melee combat, they tend to be quite "squishy".
Names: Bad Latin. I'll accept proper Latin, reluctantly.

(Natural talents are skills that start with points in them already. I wouldn't waste points in them, if I were you.)

Edited in Appearance and Backstory.  I hope it's okay since I don't know a lot about the game's civilization.

Name: Sed'rak Fraqh'n
Race: Reptilian
Age:180
Skills: Unarmed skill, sneak skill, some small amount of surgery skill
Appearance: Tall, as befits his kind, with mottled grey scales and a long tail.  His head is completely smooth.
Bio: A budding warrior, Sed'rak hoped to make his way through the universe, hopefully with lots of bloodshed and meat along the way.  He does have a sentimental side, often towards his sister, who is in medical school.  It was while en route to visiting her that Sed'rak was captured.

This alright?

I forgot about backstory. I would appreciate one, but I won't force anyone to make one. Same with appearance.

Oh look, I have a steam account.
Might as well chalk it up to Pathos.
As this point we might as well invoke interpretive dance and call it a day.

These are all great. I'll update the first post and add a character list.

The game begins!

Turn 1:

Moses:
You wake up sore. Sharp rocks dig into your back, but at least you aren't in chains anymore. You stand and look around. You appear to be in a rocky, hilly area. The sun is slowly rising. In front of you is a small duffle bag.

Inventory:
Rags(Clothing)

HP 195/200
Mana 10/10
Hungr. 80/100
Thirst 80/100

Sed'rak:
You feel the effects of the sedatives. You smile. The N'bornth are barely affected by Terran poisons. You stand and find yourself in a strange metal room. There's a door to your right, and a duffle bag hanging on a hook to your left.

Inventory:
Rags(Clothing)

Status:
HP 195/200
Hungr. 60/70
Thirst 80/100

Jackson:
You wake up suspended by your hands. You look up and see that you're tied to a tree. You look down and immediately regret it. You're hanging about a hundred feet from the ground.

Inventory:
Rags(Clothing)
Rope(Binding)

HP 140/150
Mana 50/50
Hungr. 90/100
Thirst 70/80

Joshua:
You wake up in a rocky canyon. The walls sit to each side of you. There's a duffle bag nearby, sitting on a rock. You hear a strange noise from one end of the canyon.

Inventory:
Rags(Clothing)

HP 195/200
Hungr. 80/100
Thirst 60/100

Canus:
You wake, but see nothing. You feel that you are in the bottom of a cylindrical hole. You feel bricks all around you.

HP 90/90
Mana 140/150
Hungr. 90/100
Thirst 70/80

Darn, no robot peoples :(
Also I see no list of skills and thus have no idea what to put there.

7/10 Has much more memorable sigs but casts them to the realm of sigtexts.

Ngh... where the hell am I?  Also, these rocks hurt like a ----! are the first thoughts that grace Moses' mind.

Staggering upwards, Moses picks himself up and stretches.  He notices the duffle bag and decides to open it, figuring that perhaps there are instructions or work supplies in it.

What sort of job are they even making me do here?

I considered robots. I might throw robots into the late game. Also, skills are pretty much anything. climbing, magic, firearm training, etc.
