The reasons listed don't apply. My dwarves dine on the finest dead kittens and rotten mushroom juice. Everyone has a job and a room larger than 1x3x1. Children learn useful skills like pain tolerance and a sociopathic dispositions towards death. Here in Nutsdangled, we strive for prosperity and excellence in fields both practical and intangible. I guess the goblins are just jealous, but too shy to ask for lessons.

Anyway, Toady once mentioned goblins as all lacking good feelings and altruism. The question I'm really asking is how they'd go about raising children since there's little reason to give much care to younglings. I'm fascinated by the in-game cultures, so I'd love to have the various societies fleshed out.
