I'm not really subject to the military limit because my nation was created by the gathered military forces of nearly every nation on the planet who chose to disobey orders and head into exile with families in the hopes of evading the nuclear war thats killed hundreds of millions if not billions.

They brought equipment along with them using shock and force to get out, though to fit the story I'd say an equal if not larger number failed to reach me.

My nation strictly speaking is not a nation at all, it's just a gathered collective trying to ensure the survival of the human race, I have probably by far the most powerful military and certainly the best trained and equipped.

But I have 0 facilities to build more ships and no access at all to more food or materials. So I'm gonna have to work with all of you to get supplies and try to keep the nuclear war from continuing.

I edited mine Yesterday, so I am very defiantly IN! :D

Now, everything is set up to the point where I I have enough industry to support  A small army, but I have the ability to build TONS of food, i assumed that every population point equals one Building, so, Yea, i might get the peace keepers to protect me while I protrude into the deeper points of hell Science, and doom cannons Ecology.

Anybody attempting to deploy nukes is going to end up being crushed by every other nation that exists so I won't have to do much probably but meh, I can at least try to limit the damage and keep some of humanity alive.

If anybody wants my help with anything then make me an offer, plenty of things I need or want so I'm sure we can come to an agreement.

Not really...I doubt the other nations have the power, proximity, or desire to attack someone who has nukes. Since that means that nukes will be used on the attacker. And then they all die, rather than 90% as happened the first time.

But if you have nukes they have no choice since you could attack them at random any time you want.

So they have to either build nukes themselves or kill you.

Killing you forces you to either surrender or commit genocide, building nukes will just end in the second nuclear war and finish off the planet.

Building nukes in this game is likely to end badly. Although to be fair I do have nukes of my own for the purpose of saying if you fire one I will end you, so I can at least hold everybody in check for a while.

My application:

Name nation: Iranian Empire
Governmental system: Despotic government at levels above and including provincial government, but lower levels are democratically elected.
Location and size: Bit larger than present day Iran
Population: 30 million
Budget: 500 arbitrary budget units.
Description of the land: Mostly scrubland and hills with some fertile land and forests in the north
Description of the history of the country: There were people in the old Republic of Iran who desired its downfall, and were only waiting for an opportunity to take power. They were carefully hoarding advanced technologies and military equipment for this purpose, and so when the Collapse hit Iran, the forces of the soon-to-be Shah quickly overran the parts of Iran that were not faintly glowing piles of rubble.

People:
    -Taxrate: 20%
    -GDI: 0.75
    -Public Opinion: 70%

Economy:
-Economical efficiency: 100% (30 pop units)
   -Infrastructure: 100%
-Natural resources: Crude Oil: Tier 3 Energy, Tier 1 Industrial; Bauxite: Tier 1 High tech, Tier 3 Industrial
   -Existing factories and workforce deployment:
[6] Oil fields (6x T3 Energy, 0x T1 Industrial)
[6] Bauxite smelters (0x Tier 1 Hightech, 6x Tier 3 Industrial)
[6] Mechanized farming (uses 6 energy and 12 Industrial goods => 24 food)
[6] Distributed industry (6 energy, 12 Tier 1 Industrial goods)
[2] Heavy Industry (2 energy, 4x Tier 3 Industrial resource => 4x Tier 4 Industrial goods)
[1] Laboratory complex (1 energy, 2x Tier 3 Industrial resource => 2x Tier 4 High Tech goods)
[3] Military support
-Trading needed (excesses and storages) Imports: food, some minerals, many plant products Exports: oil, fuel, plastics, machinery

Science and technology:
-Major fields: Materials Science, Industrial Logistics, Electronics
-Major accomplishments: Strong lightweight ceramic material, Resilient chemical reactor components, Improved Industrial Techniques, Improved Large-scale construction, Combat electronics miniaturisation, Modular sensors

Army:
    -Size:  27 /30
    -List of units:
8 Infantry
4 Armoured units
3 Artillery
2 Missile destroyer groups
6 Patrol boat groups
3 CAS (close air support) squadrons
1 Air superiority squadron

Are there any glaring problems (apart from food shortages)?

Couple things wrong with this. First off, those aren't the only choices. There's a third choice called 'Oh yeah I forgot they aren't psychopaths, let's just not piss them off'.
And then the 'them attacking me' also has the choice of me saying 'stop or I'll commit genocide' or simply waging conventional warfare.
Building nukes could lead to the stand-off we have today; no-one with nukes tends to get into big wars, because of MAD, or just AD if a non-nuclear country were to launch a full-scale invasion of another.

New Luxembourg's not likely to help, in part because more than one-third of the NLLO would question if they can or should, and in (larger) part because I hate Suetopias.

Heh this is gonna be fun, he has an even bigger army then I do. 2.7 million men against my 2 million.

My only advantage is that mine are far better trained and far better equipped.

Yeah except in this universe MAD has already happened and we got lucky and survived, they have no way to guarantee you won't decide to invade them, or consider them a threat and decide to wipe them out.
But I'd bet on it ending in a nuclear stand off until somebody cracks and hits the button, then the whole world goes down the toilet.

NLLO? Suetopias? But no matter thats your right, if you end up needing me you can always contact me later. If I can't get the supplies I need I can always turn to piracy.

Ummm...1 military unit is not 100,000 people.
That implies that the US only has 28 military units, if it were true. Half of them in reserve.

Each aircraft carrier is probably a military unit, though.

Alexandria: These.

By the way, any advice on to set up macros? I'm tired of typing the [url=tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/ each time I like to TV Tropes. If I could just hit ctl-alt-T or something, that would make things easier.
