So, recently i reinstalled my Warcraft and as usual im lacking players as everyone i know seems to associate Warcraft only with Dota and other Hero Maps.

Anyhow, im a fan of the Strategic Spawn Based Maps, which apparently have no following at all since i never managed to get a full game everywhere (nor any friends interested),

so i came here as Bay12 is the place where one can find fans of the msot obscure strategy titles.

As playing via Battle.Net is somewhat a pain in the ass we will use Gameranger (its similiar to Hamachi but allows more than 5 People in a Network)

I already managed to get Ardas here from the forums on board so we need 10 More Dudes and Dudettes for the following Maps:


Fall of Lordaeron

Starts basically 5 Minutes before the Cult of the Damned Starts the Plague. Players take the roles of Lordaeron, Dalaran, Gilneas, the Trolls, Arathor, Elves and of course the Scourge.
It's quite fun due to Situation for Lordearon being pretty much: !!FUN!! from the very beginning and only getting better.

WC: The First War

Now that one is nice. Place During Warcraft 2 Players taking repsecitvely the sides of Arathor and the Orcish Invaders. Its a huge map and lots of shit is going on simultaneously.

Conflict for Sereg Do'r

This map is freaking awesome. It's a unique Fantasy World with quite the amount of well balanced races. Since there are some 5 or 6 sides duking it out simultaneously and the potential for every faction to betray their allies and ally somebody completely else its immense fun.

The Factions go from Imperial Humans(which can turn into Vampires if played down the Dark Path, or into almost Theocratic Warhammer Expy if played the other Path), over Otters and Sea Giants, THe City States( containing Dwarves, Humans and i think it was Ogres, each of which can betray each other and leave the alliance for somebody else), A Tauren Republic and a Dark Satyr Overlord who can summon a Dark God into the World aswell as Nature who can do the same.

yar i have some more in petto if none of them are perking your interest but thats the ones i really wanted to play.

The First War happened when demonic influence has led to the corruption of Orcish clans, opening of the first Portal in a remote spot, and slow spread of Orcs. The Humans decided to completely ignore the events for too long, leading to sacking of Stormwind.

Orcs fell to infighting due to several reasons. After a coup d'etat, the Horde was formed and fighting resumed. This would pit them against the kingdom of Lordaeron, which is where the survivors of the previous conflicts have fled.
The Orcish isolation period has lead to internal strife which is chronicled in the Beyond The Dark Portal.

... I... might be interested. Depends on whether I can manage to get WC3 functioning again... CDs aren't in very good shape, ha, and I've no clue if the game'll play well with this computer. Plus a couple of fairly important things are somewhat missing >_>

Still. See about getting it set up. Was a pretty big fan of the old LotR maps in Starcraft, heh, but somewhat terrible with the WC3 versions of such things. GMT-6, with a fairly flexible schedule for a few more weeks, heh.

I have the games on my computer, but never really bothered with the multiplayer since it was already "dead" when I bought the game. I might be interested. I've never played any of these maps before so I'll probably end up sucking pretty hard. The maps certainly sound interesting, so I'm definitely willing to play.

The multiplayer is very much alive. You just have to know where to look.

Sure, I'll play sometime. I'm in GMT -8 and I used to play all three of those maps. I started playing custom maps eight years ago and didn't really stop until three years ago.
