Magma, obviously.  It's hard to get in the real world, but you could light something on fire anyway.  Alternatively, set up something like this with your message, load it up for him, and ask him to Pull the Lever.

To be truly dorfy, you'd need to be wearing nothing except a blood and vomit splattered beard and socks while muttering to yourself and demanding shells.

Of course, that's just one of the ways to show dwarven pride. I'm sure there are others.

Give him the title "Love the Love-Love of Loving". It shows her that you Love him 4 times as much as the average Urist.

Well, thanks for all of your help. You guys don't know yet as I don't have permission to say anything just yet but if I do, you'll all have your minds blown away. In the mean time a friend of mine helped me with the text I needed. Now I'm waiting for the other part to happen. I'm sorry to be so cryptic but I can't say more. Again. Thanks all for your help. :)

Ok! I have the man's permission to talk. So, I want to propose to my boyfriend through his favourite game, the one he always comes back to which is this one, DF. What I thought was to contact Toady One and ask him if he could help me, if it would be possible to make it so that one dwarfs talks directly to my boyfriend to get his attention so I could do the rest face to face. And he agreed. He made me a .exe file to copy in my folder and made me try it out. I just did and it works beautifully. So now I will get my boyfriend to show me how the game works once again. He has tried many times but I'm a graphics girl and although I think the game looks really fun ( I play different mining games ) I just can't do these tiny sprites. So I'm pretty sure he'll be keen on the idea and then I can go on and surprise the hell out of him! How freaking cool is that?

I'm sure it sounds horrible, but I must confess I would have laughed my ass off if the messenger dwarf was inadvertently killed before he or she got to speak up.

Congratulations.  May your endless stream of spore babies be a drain on household resources for decades to come.

Actually it was quite well done. It wasn't a dwarf messenger. It as one of his 7 dwarves suggesting something to him. And since it was to show me how to play, it was in a very safe area so nothing really could have killed the dwarf at the end of the first spring. All is good now because we are engaged! This is what popped up on his screen:  http://bay12games.com/dwarves/abcde57/test.bmp
The moment where he saw his name and was like: how the hell does it know my name? Priceless!

This is a good example of why I LOVE this place. Well done and congrats, now ensure that you do not forgo any formal celebration like most of my dorfs seem to.

This would appear to be the man himself. Congrats :D
