The new patch is awesome! I don't know if it's coincidence but I also stopped having my captain drown all the time. The game just got a massive boost of fun in what was already an awesome fest of random joy!

Does anyone know where the guys that were supposed to have hosted that giveaway went? They took the keys and never responded..... I'm starting to suspect they weren't too keen on hosting or just forgot?

A quick search shows that Vector and/or Solifuge were supposed to host it. They are developing their own game, so they surely forgot they had to host the give-away.

Noooo, I remember!  It's just that the forum was so oversaturated with giveaways around the holidays (like, three really big ones?  And a bunch of small ones?) that I realized I should wait until around now, when people might be ready to get some more free games :]

So finally got this (Thanks to Alex throwing a copy onto m0nster's Scrolls giveaway that I won the other day) and been enjoying it, haven't gotten to far, usually due to me sending my crews onto a native filled island that massacres them. (One time accidentally because I though It was a down and went down to the island all happy go lucky only to get stabbed in the face)

Also seems to be a bug or something that if you give your captain a profession book its useless and stuck there for all time? Though I may be misunderstanding how to -use- profession books.

In order to use a profession book you need TP (you get them upon levelling and can spend them to raise stats like strength, or save them up to learn skills)

Yeah but it was in the passive equip slot and just...stuck there... gaining TP or anything didn't help.

I was wondering what paying or not paying your pirates does. I've noticed that it fills up their morale and that they will upgrade their weapons, but is there any penalty for not paying them for long periods of time?
