Would  give the ship some more hmm visual thing, maybe pathfinding to?
You could have it in the buildling mode then when sailing or idle when hovering in different "rooms" there could be an small info window popping up  or something.
I was wondering one thing devs, could we get as an option later on  to rename our captain ingame ?

This is amazing!  Even though it is unfinished in some areas that we take for granted, for instance I can't seem to get the inventory to work nor can I see the list of crew, it is great fun! :D
I can already tell this will be an amazing game.

My first encounter, my crew wasnt ready haha.

Last man that stood standing was the cook, they corned him between two pirates and just mauled him, half his body went over their ship to the fishes as i saw his soul leaving the place  :o
The new control schrma makes the managment of an party of pirates so smoother (Y)
And traings sword  =D Now hey can be training during long voyages!

 You added a lot of sfx and unique voices, really adds to immersiveness! Hmm later on, if we succesfully kille the oppotent pirates can we make one of the crew  a new captain and use their ship ?

So, I found an island with some dogs and a chest, but the dogs didn't drop anything and the chest couldn't be opened. Are some island just useless right now?

Hire a bunch of cheap (not blind, as I assume that's really bad) guys and make sure you attack in a group.


Also, how do you get rid of all the crap lying around?

Oddly, the no-starting-island-generated problem that I was having on my other machine appears to have gone away on this (my normal) machine - I've been having fun sailing around and getting the crap kicked out of me.  :)

Cannons and cannoneers are, currently, my favourite thing in the world.  When they're on my ship, of course.

Feedback on the ship-building part: two things caught my eye.  Firstly, I kept forgetting where the boundary of the building area was, which messed with my designs a little bit as I tended to build from the centre of the deck outwards, and kept hitting the edge.  It might be useful if the available/unavailable build space were shaded slightly differently when you're in ship-building mode, so you can immediately see how far along you can build.

Secondly, I didn't realise that the right-hand-side of the screen was forward and the left-hand-side was aft, so ended up designing my ship back to front.  *facepalm*  It's one of those mistakes you only make once, but might be good to have some sort of simple indicator to show which way your under-construction ship is meant to be facing.

Loving the style so far.  :D

Been meaning to post to keep an eye on this. I'm pretty sure I'll love this game, I'm just unsure for sure if I'm sure about that. Should probably try it eventually to see...
