We have two other games in the pipe. one is Dungeon Dwellers / Dwelvers by Rasmus Ljunggren and the other is not yet announced as it is in pretty early pre-alpha stage.

The reason we are going with vitali and alex is because vitali is super talented and extremely dedicated. this game is going to be marvelous to play!

Well, things will go swimmingly from here on out. Work is being done and LOADS of new things are being set up into the game, none of which are superflous!

This is doubly awesome.
Awesome Reason #1: indie on indie action! Nobody coming along to ruin the scene by saying what the game needs to play like
Awesome Reason #2: That means Towns was successful enough that it can now support OTHERS. Go Towns :)

This game looks like it can turn out to be a lovely gem. Might I ask if you're intending to add some form of steam power in the game. Perhaps the late, late, late game could have coal-powered ironclads and pre-dreadnoughts to add some flare.

Of course, if the ironclad age isn't something you want to explore, you could also use steam engines to build ships which are basically steam-powered battering rams!

Quite so. How moddable will this game be?

I have a feeling I may finally get steam for this game. especially if it is highly moddable.

My dreams are not unlike yours - they long for the safety, and break like a glass chandelier.
But there's laughter and oh there is love, just past the edge of our fears.
And there's chaos when push comes to shove, but it's music to my ears.

Well, we'll try and see if we can get a healthy modding community. We aren't sure HOW moddable it'll be but at the very least you guys can make new graphics/tilesets etc. And in the worst case scenario we can ret-con moddability in it by throwing money at the screen :D

So do they stick to their own rope or can they use any rope?
Because the latter, while nicer for gameplay, would require some interesting AI in perms of cooperation.

They can use own rope, or they can use any rope, its just 1 line of code change. :)
