A question to Alex, would it be possible to make hull blocks to tile together to form an "outline" of a ship? I mean make tile transitions. I don't really like the current look of the both versions of base blocks for the ship :).

P.S. I mean like this:

I am not sure, if you want you can disable those in a options, i myself prefer to have them enabled.

Yeah, by popular demand we have it put back in with the option to take it out. In other words, everyone is appeased :D

Also, did you notice the COINS at the bottom of that one pic? Next to the WANTED POSTER?

Seriously though, great looks. I just dislike how palms are so thick; I mean it's obviously they are made with a much bigger brush (or rather scaled more), so other nice pixelated things look much more detailed, and tree-covered background stands out too much. What is that blue stuff in the bottom screenshot on the left? Looks like a winged creature to me (and I just noticed its baby hiding behind a tree, to the left of the fence on the same screenshot).

About trees.....

Do you think that with a randomization engine as robust as ours we will limit ourselves to a single archetype of tree? MUAAAAAAHAHAH POOR FOOOLS WE WILL HAVE DOZENS OF TREE TYPES, STALK TYPES, FRUIT TYPES AND COLOR PALLET SWAPS TO KEEP YOU ENGAGED FOR MONTHS MUAAAAAAHAHAHA..

I think that happened, you ignored that I mentioned tree outlines and went for "BUT WE HAVE VARIETY" reply ignoring the problem... Which means you are becoming a great PR worker, grats :D.

I kinda agree with Deon: bigger pixels generally mean that objects are closer, not in the background like those trees. I wondered if it could be better when animated, so I rewatched the teaser several times (btw, I discovered that you also published another combat prototype that I had not seen), but it did not help me decide whether or not trees with a better resolution would look better. So... yeah... I don't know. :D

I will make trees with "better resolution" soon and we will see :D.

Not sure how well would it all look in the actual engine though.
