Yes, the gameplay sounds great but the art style still looks really washed out.  Sometimes that can be okay, but I'm with lolcats that an apparently lighthearted game about pirates in the Caribbean should have warmer, more vibrant colors.

Yeah, way too washed out. More saturation and vibrance, less vague blue blobbiness, imo.

Making it look the same as the logo in the top right would be spot on, much more watchable. Think Terraria or Starbound. Just my opinion, but I get semi-eyestrain just trying to pick out details in the screenshots, let alone with it in motion.

It's almost like they are going for The Little Big Planet graphics but with that extra over the top lighting. Anyway, I think I have harped on that aspect enough. I can't wait for more gameplay details!

See this is why I decided to bring this up here a MONTH or two before going public. It'll give us the opportunity to polish to a sheen, and work on things that bug people here. If we keep you guys, the hardcoreiest indie gamers pleased, well, you get my drift ;)

Muuuuuch better. I feel like I can actually see what's going on now. I think the shade of green on the trees could be a touch darker, but that's just being picky now. If I wasn't studying a still, I probably wouldn't even think that.

Couldn't agree more. It doesn't compromise your artistic vision much while my retinas won't bleed!

Would you kindly show us a "new" night screen shot? I'm curious if it ends up looking like a void without the brightness.

To me that seems like the base you want to work from. Then you can start selectively saturating different colors that you want to pop more.

THERE we go. Nenjin isn't complaining, ergo the game will be a success! I'm not even kidding, Vitali and I were quite anxious to see your input, as you are very blunt! Allrighty, let's get you some new night screenies soon!

As long as I can have the colours not be washed-out looking then it's good.
