After seeing Aavak play I got back into it. Found a problem almost straight away.
If you visit a shot that has more items in its shop that can fill it over, you can't see the rest...

How much of a game is this right now?

It's a somewhat simple but working action rougelike imo but htere's not much to do than:
- grab sailors
- build ship out of blocks
- place some food
- go explpore an island (those usually have several enemies and a chest) or attack a ship (more or less the same but on a ship).
- go back to port for more sailors and food.
- teach at least one sailor how to clean poop
- repeat: 1

There's probably more to it than this but that's as far as i ever got before getting mauled horribly.

I've been playing this some more, and my current run is definitely my best yet with two full lines of level 20 pirates. (Although at this point I have given up on fishing because it is too much micromanagement) and I finally found a ship that is not a floating plank of wood. It was a nice little thing with a single sail and a bit of a top deck and hold. I thought to myself it would be great to take over and finally have a real ship for myself.

So I attacked it and the whole thing blew up.

Does anyone know what's up with that and how I can stop it in the future?

Ok i ran into my first event today reran the same world several times and must say i... do't really like the idea of events being almost always exacly the same.
I had an event about a sailor getting bored and wanting some gold.
I died several times and said event wasl ALWAYS the same with a slighv variance on gold needed to not lose a sailor.
I'ts not a big deal if you got far into the game and play n hardcore but in princess it just means there is no point in going on that square... ever.

I'm having trouble with feeding my pirates. Does a stack of meat have to be prepared entirely or are they prepared one portion at a time? Or is it that you can't have a cook actively cooking a food source and have pirates eat at the same time?  I have a barrel full of fish and my cook stands there preparing food, but the rest of my pirates stand around and starve to death. I try going to taverns and my pirates still stand around and starve to death. Do the npc pirates that you haven't hired eat tavern food? Or is it that my pirates are too busy drinking to bother eating? I see their morale bar go from 99-100 over and over, so I'm not sure if it is a case they are prioritizing booze over food, or if it's just a matter of the tavern food being depleted.
