India, there can be no peace. You have insulted us, attacked our friends, and taken one of the cities in our land. You, India, have unreashed our lath.

((Not sure when I took one of your cities. Do you mean Kuwait?))
You took a city in Iran. It was neutral but was in our country.

Berlin
"How goes the war, Agent Schmidt?"
"Could you be more specific?"
"Let's start with the Iberian conflict."
"Slowed down due to our effort being focused on the Indians. We expect to take Portugal within the month; ideally, those forces will help us take the last French cities."
"Good. And as for the rest of Europe?"
"Turkish or West Russian, depending on the region. Notably, part of Kazakhstan is partly held by West Russia, although Astana is East Russian."
"Speaking of the Russians--"
"For the most part, they are being helpful. They have not impeded our advances to the Middle East, and in fact leave some cities completely ungarrisoned despite the nearby troop movements."
"Thank God. If we couldn't move our troops through their territory--"
"We can."
"Which leads to a natural segue into the most important topic of discussion."
"Indeed. Our armies have reached the Middle East. Nukus is ours, and a proper beachhead should be formed within the next month."
"The Indians?"
"They've conquered the majority of China and the rest of Southeast Asia, save for Cambodia and the Indonesian region. The eastern quarter of China is under East Russian control, save Hong Kong, as is the remainder of what China once held save the southernmost portion of Korea, the northernmost isles of Japan, and Khaborovsk. They may try to attack Siberia, but it's impossible to say."
"China won't be an issue?"
"No more than Iceland."
"Excellent. Supplies? How is that coming?"
"Nearly all expendable income is being funneled into the war."
"I'll take that as a good thing."
"It could be better, but it could also be much worse. We've accumulated an excellent sum of forces over the past year."
"Diplomatic situation changed?"
"Not in the least. The old Triple Alliance is strong, as is the Indochinese Coalition--"
"As strong as it can be with next to no supplies, less of an army, and few cities of note."
"--obviously. The most recent development, and it's hardly new, is West Russia's alliance with all other nations. One can only imagine how it will end up."
"How so?"
"Two considerations. Firstly, the war against India."
"So far, I think it has seemed to be staying neutral."
"However, it is hemmed in on all sides by the Triple Alliance. Once they finish taking a few cities in the westernmost portion of Russia, they'll be essentially out of places to expand. Unless they can curtail their Imperialistic desires, they will want to expand, the most obvious--"
"Kazakhstan?"
"...Yes. A war over Kazakhstan seems quite possible. Moreover, they seem to be moving forces in that direction."
"One hopes we're wrong...in any case, let us consider strategy against the Indians. With the Russians and Turks."
"You want a secure line?"
"Of course. Connect me to them, then do what I've instructed you."
"As you wish." Agent Schmidt provided the secure line and exited, humming the James Bond theme music.

You probably both attacked the same neutral city at once and he sent more forces than you. Wouldn't really consider that an attack, since no one has any idea what other players' moves might be until the next turn rolls around.

Berlin
"Sir!"
"Schmidt? I'm glad you're here. I thought that Kabul--"
"Rumors of my death were greatly exaggerated."
"So it would seem. Well, since you're here, do you have--"
"China has fallen."
"Obviously."
"I mean, officially. No cities, and what military remains is expected to surrender or be defeated within a few months."
"They'll doubtless be a pain to the Russians."
"Doubtless. There is other good news."
"Oh?"
"We have breached the Indian defensive line!"
"...That is good news. How goes the offensive?"
"Afghanistan, Tajikistan, and of course Turkmenistan are our 'beachhead'. We expect Uzbekistan to follow. Aside from what is left of India's Wall of Men and Rifles, there are no deployed forces in the Indian Empire proper--"
"Which is good."
"--but there are significant garrisoned forces."
"...How significant?"
"About three dozen bombers and ten units of militia in Islamabad, the largest gathering of forces we've seen. Other cities have mixtures of militia and infantry ranging from four militia to eight infantry and nine militia in Dehli and Jaipur."
"That doesn't sound so bad."
"Perhaps not, but Pakistan will be a tough nut to crush."
"Stick to the facts, poetry has never been your strong suit."
"Yes, sir. The Indian offensive push is moving towards the Turks. They have a dozen tanks in Saudi Arabia, large numbers of militia units and another tank in Dubai, and small numbers of troops in Oman. Their troops in Yemen are not supposed to be any larger."
"Iran?"
"I would advise against doing so."
"You aren't a good comedian, either."
"Fine. The Iranian offense consists of two units of four. Not much, especially for a territory occupied heavily by Turkish units and passed through by our own."
"And then there's the rest of the Wall."
"Indeed."
"Their main efforts are directed at the Russians?"
"We assume so, yes. What little we know about troop movements that far east supports such. Bombings in Guangzhou, Haikou captured, et cetera."
"Reports on the East Russians?"
"Partial defensive formations along our northern border--"
"What?"
"Partial defensive formations along our northern border with them--the East Russians."
"Hardly a location to expect an attack from. Unless they're thinking of breaking the alliance?"
"Dozens of tanks going through Kazakhstan, not even the easternmost part. Another defensive formation moving across the west, one across the south. Aside from the Turkish one, those are locations with low troop densities. Moreover, they have well over a dozen tanks in the Mosul region. I think they intend to."
"Oh dear."
"Either that, or they are assembling defenses for if we break the alliance--"
"Why start in our north?"
"I do not know."
"...Let's move onto concrete facts. Iberia?"
"Completely ours within the month, just Seville left. Once we do so, only Turkish incomplete dominance over their lands and the fact that they haven't conquered Italy prevent us from calling Europe completely dominated by the great powers."
"Assuming you ignore the Atlantic islands."
"...Yes, I suppose..."
"Such as Iceland."
"Ah, yes. Next month, I was hoping to surprise you--"
"I'm not complaining. If this works, it will be an excellent addition to our empire."
"Ah. Excellent."
"Now, then. How do you expect the war with India will go?"
"With the forces we have pouring across Europe, plus the low forces (aside from a few cities) in our area, I don't expect the next leg of the invasion to pose much of a problem. Then we have the heart of the Indian empire."
"Indeed."
"But, I suspect we will be successful. After all, it is us who have two allies fighting them and a substantial beachhead in their empire, not the other way around."
"Very true."
"Shall I get the Indians on the line?"
"No. Anything I want to say, they can see in their morning newspaper, or by looking out the window. We are coming. They know."

((You meant the West Russians of course?))

Herr Schmidt, I trust you are well? Apologies for not discussing such troop movements with you beforehand. These troops were mobilised before we had confirmed that those men of yours, the ones that crossed our borders without advance warning of any kind, were indeed simply heading to aid in the conquest of India and the culling of the Chinese. As for the troops forming up to the south, we feared an assault by Indian tank divisions landing in the lower Middle East. Our wish, unlike yours, is not to conquer, only to survive. Despite our little strength, we are not stupid. We're surrounded on all sides by nations with military power much more formidable than our own. We joined this global conflict late, and we have suffered for it. Understand that we only did what we thought was best, given what appeared to be happening. These defensive formations will remain, but as a sign of good faith, the path to Europe will remain open.

Wha...Yes! I did. I meant the yellow ones. I mixed up East and West.
East Russians are the awesome ones in Asia, West Russians are the cowardly* ones trapped in the middle of the Triple Alliance.
*Yellow. Get it?

Understood.
As it so happens, your defensive formations don't seem to hinder my movements due to our alliance.

Final transmission from Guangzhou

To our Indian allies. The war has gone poorly on our end, and I hope you will forgive us for falling and leaving you to fight. Not too long ago, we realized that defeat was inevitable, and we began taking steps to make the death throes of our nation as painful as possible for the East Russians. We have raided their cities, destroyed their units, all behind the front lines. However, as we speak, the enemy approaches our capital for the final battle. We do not have enough forces to hold. We will be defeated. As I speak, we are sending our final orders to our last holdout in Seoul, that we may strike whatever final blows we may as we fall.

Fight well, India, and defeat the East Russians in our memory, for we fall with this city.

End Transmission.

Indeed. Shame that you never got a shot at greatness.

So. It's the three great powers of the Triple Alliance, versus India, with West Russia neutral to all. My guess as to how this game is going to end: India gets crushed, then either the game ends or the Triple Alliance crushed West Russia, ending the game.

In other news: In large part due to not paying any attention, I am losing the game I started (Water Wars). I have scattered cities across Indonesia, Thailand conquered my capital, and I somehow have negative 95 money.

Sorry Doomblade, but you were just closer and it would have been far harder to defeat you in the long run.
Which sort of reminds me of another game I played. Started in Europe and this Blue guy had Germany while I had France.
We allied, I destroyed Yellow in Iran and then charged back to take down blue.
Allied with red and ended the game winning by a large span.
