On the negative side, you'll be at a 1 point disadvantage against everybody as a result. You'll have armies, but they won't be any good. Against anything not in a desert. There you'll break even with them.

In fact, I think you shouldn't even split separate games into separate threads, just have them as rounds in the same thread.
