Glad to hear there are people who played Gothic in the good old days beyond me and a few hipster Poles, Germans and Russians. (a silly combo)
(without a doubt this game had THE best voice acting ever, in the Polish version anyway)

Any Hack'n'Slash (Diablo, Torchlight) magic system > Gothic magic system

If the character can just wish for the object they need, they are too strong. Unless they are a wizard with rules(only a list of spell or just one thing they can use to their heart content).
