We've got the wonderful piece of technology known as a dial-up connection. Pretty much the same thing, really.

The other option around here is one of those satellite internet deals, which, with enough prodding, I may convince my mother to switch over to just yet.

I'm not totally sure what the university has to do with my connection, but I guarantee you that that is not their connection speed. In a few months I'll actually be living there, freed from the shackles of this terrible internet connection.

Keep in mind that you'll be paying a lot of money for throttled internet, with outrageous pings.
