BATTLE THREE:

GREATWYRMGOLD

VS.

DAVETHEGRAVE

CHECK IT CHECK IT CHECK IT
THIS HERE'S FOR THE MOTHERFUCKIN' RECORD
[/center]

Are you sure you didn't get it the first time?
Anyways, references to the insults are linked. I researched this rap. (There weren't that many posts to check.)

DaveTheGrave, not very great,
No cos of Alexander
,
See your name? I'll put you there,
And thus I will seal your fate.

You can't jump, but you can rap?
That's insane, it makes no sense.
You must think that I am dense
If you think I'm scared of that.

I'm not a worm, I'm a Wyrm,
And as Great as you are Grave.
To halflings you are not brave,
How can you win? You will squirm.

I've...not seen you before,
But I see that you are bull.
Your "rap" falls before my full
Rhythm, rhyme, my rapping roar!

GWG employed an interesting tactic, researching DaveTheGrave on his forum activity. We'll see how this goes.

First verse, starts out with a dismissal and kill warning. But then I noticed something: GWG's going with an ABBA rhyme-scheme, and while this is great for slow dramatic poetry, it doesn't really come out in rap, let alone battle rap. Whenever I vocalized these verses it never sounded quite right in any form. I don't know if any rapper whose done this style while still managing authority and intimidation, but if I learned there was that would get me to legitimately see this as a solid pattern, but as of now it's a big minus.

Second verse starts out with a nice b-baller reference before calling Dave a pussy basically.

Third verse starts out with defense, which manages to shield from one of Dave's lines before another cowardice call.

Final verse is the strongest one, going utilizes the classic "Who the fuck are you?" insult before wrapping things up.

You ain't ready, nope,I'm like Jamaicans with machetes
Chasing fast, but your so fat, running to heavy
Call your self great but wyrms get squashed
Trying to spit language, soundin too posh
But im tu-pac, representing pure skill
You'll never beat me, my rhmyes are just too ill

Look man lets face, your not gonna win.
Run back to your mages guild, hang up the robe and sleep in.
You just can't face man, I'm really sorry this had to burn.
But next time you want to rhyme, you better just skip your turn.

Cus I'm elite, Dave already dug yo grave.
And if this was a actual battle, your chest would be concave.
If you want to try again man thats real cool.
But it seems like once again, Id have to pity the fool.
But now thats over might as well just sit down and go cry
Because the only thing left I have to say to the wyrm is: Bye bye.

First verse starts off with a really good simile and Saints Row reference intertwined in an inter-rhyme. The following fat insult loses it's impact when "your" and "to" are used incorrectly. If you dismantle regular grammar unintentionally, it never looks good on your rhymes. The wyrm pun is deflected by GWG's defense in his third verse, but the second part of the bar is great because it dismantles GWG's flow as "Hoity-Toity Bullshit." Ouch. "I'm tu-pac", Nope. (If you were Tupac you'd pull off something like, "GWG, know how I'm gonna' leave ya'/Cut your young ass up, leave you in pieces/Now be deceased./Now you know, don't fuck around with real G's/Quick to snatch your ugly ass of the streets/So fuck peace!)

Second verse starts with a diss that almost misses the acceptable syllable limit, but manages to flow adequately. The follow-up continues the theme.

The beginning to the third verse is one of my favorite lines in this thread so far, packing in Sophistication and Violence in the same bar. Then Mr. T. Last lines fall flat, after all this talk of murder, you're going to make him sit down and cry? Pssh. (I had a similar problem with 2 Chainz in Mercy, after talking about shooting people he threatens to "make you need a band-aid."

To be honest, my background is more in poetry than rap. My entire background has been (in reverse order) that other rap forum game, writing rap battles for The Islands of Misery, and watching "Epic Rap Battles of History" as research for TIoM.

And for the record, my first draft was better.

Wait, on the line that had Holy Rhythmical there was supposed to be Emperor at the end....I think my rap got majorly screwed up by the PM system.

Is there a glitch in the PM system?

Damn those raps are fun to read. :)
Didn't expect GWG to go down, but Dave's raps were... pretty awesome actually. Kudos.

Still waving my Cheesecake flags though :D

A bit later than usually, probably tomorrow morning.

Its because I have to update my Syndicate RTD, which takes the longest out of all my games to update, since it's open world and has a bunch of gangsters running around shooting corners.

Betty's ready too, Freddie. They're going steady. But Eddie's so petty he stole their confetti. Isn't that heady?
