Yo, I'm stumblin.
Still stuntin.
You're rhymes are weak.
Mine are bumpin.
Talk about puttin me in a grave.
But all I can do is laugh.
Come at me with that shit, I'll tear you in half.
You think your tough, slick shit, cold as ice.
Sadly weakness won't suffice.
The biggest man alive barely reaches my shoulder height.
From what I see you don't know what's at stake.
I'll chop up your body and throw it in the lake.
Your rhymes are cheesy and fake.
I been to a lot of weddings, its so easy to cut the cake.
First line opens up with "Yo I'm stumblin'." I've never heard of stumbling being used in an empowering way. Hmmph. Solid opener otherwise though.
Next verse manages to deflect a rhyme that will later come up in Cheesecake's part along with good ole' braggadocio.
Third verse sounds pretty damn cool when you put it together. This time around I can tell Dave is going for a faster flow.
Final verse falters in the flow, but the last line recovers somewhat from that issue.
Verse:
Look at this! DaveTheGrave?
You better sit down, Dave! Behave!
And I'mma pay
This knave
My pimp-hand
All day!
You better run Dave,
There's no chance to relieve
the fact that your like a cave
man rapping 'gainst me.
So go to sleep Dave,
Go back to your bed!
Cuz' I'mma go and pave
My voice right into your head!
And into your grave
you have been led!
Cuz' sometimes Dave
Things are better off dead!
Damn, everyone's turning into a West-Coast thug with these flows. Nothing particular outstanding about the first verse, it manages to be what it needs to be; cool and tight.
The second verse has good intentions, but the flow breaks up similarly to what happened in DaveTheGrave's last verse. Unfortunately, there's no clever pun to help it recover, but I might just be fucking dense or something.
Third and final verse is pretty damn furious, though of course the grave line was countered in Dave's verse.
WINNER: DAVETHEGRAVE
It wasn't an easy decision, since both were hard-hitting and flowed nicely. The deal-breaker was the wordplay in Dave's part.
