Take the Money when you start your nation, you can go further with it, faster. Also start as a Junta. So far it is the only one with a event and the free planes can be a HUGE money saver (though random).
Basically use Humanitarian aid until you are at 115k, it's a great use of money and growth is always good to have.
Use blood diamonds until you are at about 250 GDP. Every three times you use it buy a school, it will more than cancel out all but the rep loss from it.
Post your nation (with link if you want) here, other wise you won't get an invite to the UBA.
Also buy at least 1 Crate of Rifles, so you are at least at WW1.
Either ask for some money to drill, or wait until you are over 500 GDP to spend money on it (My opinion on it, seeing as African nations have a 1/5 chance for oil, is that it's a huge gamble)
Now, onto war growth (Best Growth) after you get to 110 GDP. This is where you hit inactive and unaligned nations and raid them for their GDP.
Finding inactive targets in your range takes time, but is worth it. You can hit any one between 200% and 75% of your current GDP. Don't waste your time hitting people at the 100% range, hit ones at the 200%. You can only hit one nation every turn and you will lose rep as you do it, so hit the best targets you can for the most efficient growth that you can (I went from 200 GDP to 700 GDP in a day and a half). I suggest that you avoid going into red Rep at all, but you can survive it if you end up that low.
There are several ways to note an inactive:
1: Easiest way is if they have less than 5K troops. At less than 5K troops any offensive against them is an instant win and you get 1/4 of their GDP. So anyone at 5K or less has already been GDP farmed and is open to further attacks every 2 days (normal limit if a nation lost a war).
2: Reds across the board. Either they are being spied to oblivion or they are inactive. Don't assume they are inactive, expect they may draft up and try and fight back. Try and hit these either just before the turn over so you can hit them twice in rapid succession. Basically Rep will always climb, but with out player intervention everything else will fall (Eventually).
3: Default Flag, Leader, and Info. Nothing screams to me more than seeing some easily changed info (stuff that even tells you to change it) not being changed that a player may not have liked the game is is probably not playing. Look for other clues like status of QoL, and Stability being low, and Rep being high. Be careful on these though, they may be active, but not know how to play and will try and fight back (They also may be a multi and have TONS of anonymous aid from other multis).
