Okay, judging by the developments on the forums, I'm agreeing that this appears to be heading towards a proxy war between Cominterm (who will be using us as a proxy) and the smaller Western Alliances.

As to Cominterm unity, I suggest a more formal defensive alliance, and not outright unity. With an alliance we can receive some support in case of war but keep mostly out of the big leagues affairs. Seeing that we have no reason to pick a fight right now (especially as we are still growing as a alliance in strength) we would still expect some support. If they are declared war on, we can provide a token amount as well, making it all work out in the end for both.

Sorry, didn't realize you were the same person :P. 700k is fine, you'll probably get it the next turn when I get home and hopefully my GDP prevails and gets me 1400k. If it does, could I get another 10k troops?

Sure, I can send you another 10k.

Awesome! With 1 billion 200 million GDP my budget can go up to 1400k right?

Edit: The African Legion has some hefty GDPs

I do agree we may need the Comintern's help, and I don't particularly mind being used as a proxy as long as we can reap the rewards. We TECHNICALLY already sort of kind of had a defensive pact, but it was in no way really discussed or formalized. I'll look into potentially having a public, formal defensive pact between us written.

Comintern does technically share our communistic views, we may have numbers but only a few people have large military's with high GDP. Do we just stay peaceful to boost more nations to a higher GDP?

How useful is oil? Can you do market speculation? Is it viable to get a lot of wells to sell oil?

There are just not very many viable non ghandi targets for military growth. The thing about maintaining high economic rather than military growth is that its pretty stable.

As far as I can tell, and this might increase with gdp later that I have not seen, you can only sell one oil every month to the market. So not really. Maybe selling to other nations directly could work though.

You can actually sell OR buy as many mbbl as you want per turn. Only one though. If you buy, you can buy 1000000 mbbl, but you cannot sell even 1 of them. You can circumvent this by finding other players, so you buy your oil at a very low price of say, 30k, and then sell them at a more average price of 33k. Oil is fairly useful up to a point though. It allows your growth to reach about 40 before getting stalled, and is used a lot for an airforce, and later for tanks.

Thanks, MoLAoS you'll get your payment once I get 1400k. Ghandi-likes are your only option, though trust me they work it's mainly how most nations got such high GDP. Farm inactives until you're Mad Dog, wait until higher rep and repeat. Sanctions are terrible but the reward still outweighs it. What is the rep cost for chem weapons?

Comintern doesn't give a shit about anything relating to NOFAP, because they apparently like maintaining their good relations with GGU and IFAP. Everyone is literally afraid of doing anything if it involves either IFAP/NOFAP or the GGU.

Oh, he also asked for us to merge. Again. Is no one truly invested in the ideas of communism anymore?

Has anyone noticed how obsessed goons are with the middle east? I suspect they have a good reason for that. Blood diamonds are pretty shitty.

So Comintern is declining the defensive pact? What does this mean?

Basically, I think he just said that a defensive pact would be unnecessary and we wouldn't have to worry about wars if we just merged. Until he puts forth an actual formal defensive pact I can get behind, we really don't have one with his group.

Comitern can't stand against the dangerous alliances. Allying them is a waste of time. GGU is probably more powerful than anyone else combined.
