green stability gives you natural growth ladm8

sure it's not much but it's kind of nice

low stability gives you rebels and rebels give you random events which make your day more painful as it goes so just gas them

gdp != growth. It requires 4 turns to recoup the loss from privatizing with foreign, and at 15gdp that is less than 70k worth of cost. On top of that, the growth continues going forward, so it's a good deal.

Ah it seems you are right about gdp vs growth. Still not worth it. Significant stability hit. You'd have to be able to afford to offset that. Of course it would help if the designer didn't use bullshit qualitative descriptors. It might seem like it prevents math crafting but really it just costs a little bit of time to trial and error the number. May as well provide it up front.

For instance if the stability hit is low enough it would be effectively non-existent because you could just repeat the action over and over forever, it would be infinite money, just kinda slow. I am still pretty sure it won't work.

But if there are other nations feeding me cash to get aid after privatizing, couldn't I still comically abuse the mechanic even with only one use?

Also, thanks to all the free stuff coming from everyone, I've now hit 13 mil growth. Unfortunately, this surpasses my oil reserve, which is a bother. If anyone has spare oil to send it would be greatly appreciated, though otherwise I can buy it once the day switches and my GDP leaps.

The person supporting regenerating health, when asked why you can see when shot in the eye justified it as 'you put on an eyepatch'. When asked what happens when you are then shot in the other eye, he said that you put an eyepatch on that eye. When asked how you'd be able to see, he said that your first eye would have healed by then.

Stability would need to give more growth than is lost by nerfing it for cash. I suspect that its worth it as long as you can use aid, at best. Its definitely not worth it otherwise.

You could have someone test it out if you like but I'm pretty sure that it won't work.

I do have one question, do hospitals provide a permanent bonus? Because it would be optimal to spam hospitals and maybe schools or something at a really, really low GDP to save money since their bonus is relative to gdp.

Well, it's an instant bonus. One-time, one-use.

So yeah, privatizing a bunch and then spending it on free hospitals (to quickly raise stability back up) actually seems like it would be fairly effective.

It depends though. Suppose he gets 2 hospitals per drop. Would that make up for the stability hit?

Oh, it looks like hospitals don't raise stability directly. Well maybe popularity and quality of life will raise it. Does stability rise each tick from your quality of life and popularity?

If its just a multiplier of quality of life and popularity and doesn't continue to rise with no investment its hard to say.

Apparently 103mil GDP is too poor to use privatize. So its not a free money bank after all.

Anyone interested in conscripting troops and selling them? I would be willing to pay $500,000 for 10,000 troops

Rakonas just said the going rate is 700k per 10k troops. Why so low?

Can I just send you my initial 10k troops? Otherwise what is the cost of conscripting 10k soldiers in terms of growth?

10k troops is 5m growth potential.

...no? You get 2k troops per 1m growth iirc.

Regardless, the real constraint is manpower.

Well, that's definitely worth it.

I'd be happy to sell people troops at the going rate. Not sure why you wouldn't just raise em yourself but w/e.

I'd be willing to sell 10k troops to an alliance member for 700k
