So I made a nation for this game following the rules in the first post. Criptlandia. (Yes is goot with names thank you.) And was wondering if I could join the UBA?

Also I guess I am really small right now, but I am unsure how to grow past the aid part? I guess I should be attacking tiny nations and building hospitals with all my money? There does not seem to be a large number of options at this point.

Okay, Grakenorke, stop the war. Offer white peace to the other side at one. The only person I see that is at fault here is you as you are the the aggressor in this situation. I'll send a communique to the other side to start drafting up a peace treaty. I feel that it should be restated that unless Bdthemag gives the go-ahead for an alliance war, no-one is to attack anyone in an alliance.

Well, two options. One, sacrafice all of your growth for troops and begin steamrolling nations that you can easily take our in one or two attacks, boosting your GDP (what I did). This ends badly though where you might get reset, or end up at the higher ends of GDP with no growth, and you can't feasibly attack anyone and win because they can pull out 90k troops if need be. You could also just build up troops slowly keeping your growth at 20, make sure QoL is good or higher, approval is good, etc. and your stability will increase. That's the slow way though.

Just stack humanitarian aid until you get past 115 and do blood diamond as much as possible (little effect for small nations, and since hospitals are cheap at your level, it's free money). After that point, buy a crate of Lee Enfield, recruit some soldiers, and wage war on inactive low troops (5k or less) nation that are on your range. You can easily get to 500 GDP if you choose your target carefully. You also want to have somewhat high stability for the free +1 growth every turn.
Also, be careful with your reputation, try to not be red.

No, but they've started up a recruitment drive on the forums. I'm fine with folks farming inactive, unaligned nations, since no-one really worries about those. But this is different situation compared to that. I'd rather we didn't get a bad rep due to the actions of one nation.

EDIT: Also, Taricus. I never delegated you as a representative as the U.B.A. I asked you to go to that one IRC meeting to see what was going on, and that's it. It was cool of you to apologize to SAP, but you're not really a representative.

Oh. That might be it. I assume conscription is the main way to gain troops yeah? What's the rate of growth loss to troop gain?

Maybe. I'd rather not see us as a pariah alliance within the community at the very least, and an apology isn't going to do much unless we act upon it. At the very least though, you have an officer candidate to draft atleast.

Cript: 2k troops per 1 growth. Just don't go overboard or your manpower pool will be expended.

Each time you conscript, you get 2K troops for 1 point of growth, and your overall training level decreases. You always want your training level to be at least at standard, and it's highly recommendable it's kept at elite as much as possible as it's one of the determining factors in how many casualties are taken in battle.
