I bought a whole bunch. And now I'm at war (those things could be unrelated, but probably aren't). could someone lend me some troops before the end of the turn? (I promise to send them back in good order, I just want to get the guy in 2 strikes)
Me (S. Dirkatan, please don't mix us up.)
Enemy
I can send in some troops. Is 10k fine, or do you need 20?
20k will be better. tell you what, send me 20k troops now, and I'll send 10k of them back in 1 hour (and the other 10k when the war is done).
Ah, I can't send troops to you unless you align with the east.
oh. right I knew that was going to bite me in the ass.

Peace has been achieved! Also he gave me oil. I payed nothing.  8)

edit: Attacked a nation with 700 gdp that was highest rep, I was pariah. Somehow I skipped Mad Dog and went to Axis of Evil, and 5 mins before the turn, I cannot possibly bail myself. This canna be good.

edit2: And that really wasn't that bad. It reset my approval, reputation, and alignment, and also sent be back to 10k troops, and I have some rebels. I also became an Authoritarian Democracy with a Mixed Economy.

The "somehow" is not surprising, a max rep nation drops you around 2 reputation levels.

Good luck rolling the dice, hope it worked out. If it did, but you're still axis of evil, send your stuff to Cotalia!

I lost 13 GDP, so I am now at 847. To be honest, the reputation reset was completely worth losing some GDP, like 30k troops, and other such things. The only bad thing so far is that my QoL didn't get reset so it is at Poor, and I have rebels that seem to refuse to go away, and before I can even focus on raising my QoL I need to get rid of the rebels and win this stupid war I am in now. It also reset my airforce, so there goes 900k. Lol.

What does switching to mixed economy have to do with sending troops?

There are penalties for sending aid to people who have the wrong economy type and alignment.

Right, but for troop aid the ONLY thing that matters is alignment. If it's wrong, you can't send them at all, if it's right you're good to go.

If someone could lend me 10k troops it would be very greatly appreciated. I can give them back in 1 or 2 turns. Also if you need me to switch alignments just let me know, I can go eastern bloc easily..

edit: I'm just afraid that someone is going to snipe out 1/4 of my GDP because I only have 10k troops.

The leader of the Comintern sent me a message asking to join the war against Yotsuba, which I promptly denied. It just seems hypocritical that all of these W.U.T. signatory nations are declaring war against them, without any real attempts at peace talks. Their primary cause for declaring war now is apparently because many of the nations have racist names, but frankly that's something Rumsrod should be dealing with. I mean, when a war comes by where we have an actual reason to join, I'd be more than happy to let everyone in on the action. But this to me proves that the Goons and Facepunch crowd aren't particularly interested in world peace if it doesn't suit their own needs.

Going by the forums, it's not as if there will be peace anytime soon with the way both sides are handling themselves diplomatically. We CAN afford to go to war against the members in africa, since an AU member has charged their most powerful member in the region...

Again, I don't want anyone declaring war against Yotsuba. The ACE idea was (again) really stupid, and frankly a dick suggestion on my part. I was unaware that ACE had any real leadership, and I assumed it'd fall apart very quickly due to the initial controversy. The thing with the Yostuba war is that it seems the delegated leadership of Yotsuba is actually attempting to reach a peace with the people all of their loosely affiliated nations pissed off, but the members of the big alliances either aren't taking them seriously or not putting much effort forward to do anything.

We should probably just watch it play out for a bit more and see which side (If any), we might want to support. Who knows, the war might even end in a few days.

There's really no harm in joining with half of the alliances in a war that will end as soon as a couple alliances are peaced with. Imo.

Damn, this guy I was fighting has somehow managed to call in 20k troops and enough money to bring his growth up by 10million through borrowing money from people. I think now would be a good time to just quit before losses get to be more than either of us own.
