Nationalism has declared war, and seems to be winning.

I'm still having trouble with Growth and QoL, so I'm stagnating without war. My main issues:

-Building houses doesn't seem to increase QoL any more. Did I screw something up? Because I thought it did before.
-It says I'm a liberal democracy, but I'm not gaining any growth from my approval. I've heard that I should be, though. Could I just not be democratic enough even though it says liberal democracy, or what?

In other news, I'm almost at WWII tech.
QoL is increased by hospitals. Use hospitals to increase your QoL. Approval is increased by houses. QoL and approval combined raise stability, with approval affecting it more if you're democratic. High stability gives steady growth, and allows you to easily get more growth through holding elections. I held elections at unsinkable stability and it didn't even dent my stability.

I'll toss you 10k troops. Just pay them back when you finish with your war.

Does anyone know the chance of destroying an oil well by bombing and if size affects it? I just launched 3 air strikes at meagre and no oil wells destroyed, going to launch another 3 in a bit.
And the other 3 didn't do it either, damn.

In other news, our average GDP is 334, and our total GDP is just over 20,000.

Yeah, I'll pass the 800 GDP mark tonight. As others have said, war targets are dwindling though... and as growth becomes valuable, conscription becomes an unappealing option since you can only gain 1 growth per turn.

I went for the first thirty minutes but had to go. It wasn't exactly an exciting place to be either, as most of it was arguing pointless semantics. Having second thoughts in terms of signing it, since most of our enjoyment of this game is going to come from alliance wide wars.
