I believe that you have to be aligned west to get from america but otherwise you can get migs.

Check out the guides on the forum, but I'd say first priority is getting your stability up for sustainable growth. If you're authoritarian that means getting Quality of Life up, if you're democracy that means Approval.

I'm currently considering going all the way from Authoritarian to Democracy, so I can get the extra +1 growth per turn from approval- because I'm currently Worshiped as a God anyway. I just ended up Authoritarian because I like using martial law to get troops. Do you think it's worth the 800k or so? Might just spend it all on military tech... only my reputation is too low to really keep invading people.

Edit: Good reason to all go East Bloc, "You can only send troops to nations of the same alignment". Anyone with troops to spare, send them to Goetesia, he needs them.

If someone else could send troops first, that'd be great... I have 10k I could send, but if I do I will probably get attacked.

edit: Plus, this guy he is at war with can potentially pull out 18k troops from his ass because his growth is at 9, so 10k wouldn't really even do much. He would need 20k and cash to get them trained to standard probably just to be able to fend this guy off if he decides to spend all his growth on troops. He would probably need 30k troops and 400k cash to be able to win against him, and I don't have those kind of resources.

edit2: Fuck it, I'll eat some negative growth and send you what I can before I align with the East Bloc. Hopefully nobody attacks me while I have 11k troops at all poor level of training  :P

I just sent him 10k troops and 300k cash. In 2 or so hours I'll send another 10k troops and another 100k cash, and 12 hours after that the last 10k troops, and then I'll align with the East Bloc. Once you end up getting to 113 GDP (since you are at -3) I highly suggest you spend it on 5 humanitarian aids, which will net you enough growth to be able to get more troops if you need them (your manpower is low, so don't conscript any more unless you have to), and at the very least will stop your bleeding out GDP for now. For sure, spend any money you have on humanitarian aid BEFORE YOU WIN YOUR WAR, because otherwise getting your growth high will be nigh impossible.

I decided to check this out, but whenever I try to get on the forums to look at guides or see what the games about to see if I'd even want to play... it takes me to an install screen talking about FTP servers? Why would I need to install anything to look at a forum?

Do I need to make a nation first or something? I dislike starting a game I'm not even sure I want to play just to find out it isn't what I thought and immediately quitting.

I think either the dev is updating stuff or swapping servers, its been like this all day. Tomorrow would probably be a better time to start out.

About how many troops should I have? Right now my growth is at 12 million, my GDP is 150 my manpower is untapped and I have 11k troops.
