You get +1 growth every month from stability, and you can spam humanitarian early on. There are other ways of raising it that have consequences, but stability seems by far the most consistent.

HA spamming is very nice at first to get your growth quickly up. Stability can be nicely increased by housing/schools/hospitals with the best being hospitals. Since we're in africa doing blood diamonds and then spending that and a little extra for a hospital, doing this two to three times can easily push you into developed which will take a while to bring down. Afterwards just spam HA and you'll see your growth jump dramatically. Careful that you have enough oil to sustain it tho.

Also if you sell oil for ~50k/mbbl, then you can sell 8 oil and have a 20% chance of making 10 oil back along with the priceless oil production. You'll need to have at least 110GDP though.

I grew about 80 million, to 201 million within 24 hours. Invasions are definitely the best way to grow. Too bad growth will stall as soon as my reputation gets too bad

If it fails you are limited to 2 growth though until you buy more oil.

In other news, I dunno if I should conscript some troops so I can lower costs for free housing and buy that 2 or 3 times, which might make my reputation and stability go higher much faster, or if I should just completely halt attacking people and do almost nothing in the game for like 2 days.

i thought a little about privatizing fucking everything, building a few hospitals after i hit rock bottom and using the rest of the money to upgrade my military (should get me to ww2 surplus and ~40k elite soldiers, ran the math) then wrecking some serious shit to get back to previous gdp levels
