Possibly 48-60 hours. Either way, No need to start warring on someone just yet. Farming is a lot less painful when they don't have troops.

Basically what we want to do is use the guy as a ladder. slowpoke beats on him, then you beat on him, then I beat on him. Raise ourselves up while sinking him, without giving him time to recover in the meanwhile.

Portland has unfortunately lost the upper hand against the oppressors of Watermelonia. Granted, attacking someone with twice my GDP wasn't my most brilliant move, but I get the feeling that this dumb war will drag on for quite a while. Anything you guys have to offer would be hugely appreciated, and I'll pay it back when it's over.

Attacking a Ghandi-like nation as a Ghandi-like nation knocked me down to Angelic, so enough to knock you down at least one reputation status.

Ghandi-like is actually about one and a half, I think. (Hence people getting screwed by skipping right from pariah to mad dog)

This is a mistake, always have AT LEAST ~16k troops, more as your GDP goes up. Unless you decide to be online right before every single turn change, all it takes is someone declaring war on you shortly before turn change and then finishing you off slightly after. On the other hand, I recommend doing this yourself for easy GDP.
