I'm not really sure- as the smallest-of-the-big-alliances, they might try to screw us, but there's no harm in sitting in on the conference. I'm certain that we'll have little sway, however.

It'd be better used as a learning experience than anything else, since we're all pretty new to this.

I'd say do the "try to pull good concessions toward us" and "otherwise ruin it for them and then not sign" things.

This game has boiled down to checking in every 12 hours to spend money and to attack someone. I hope gameplay will be expanded in the future.

I'm with UrbanGiraffe on this. We should attend and watch, see how things work and how the big players interact. If possible defend our own stance when things concerning us come into the light.

Edit:

Also, how much sucking up is needed to get the ability to align with a faction? I've done it twice already, wondering how much more money I need to sink into this.

After rading the Diplomacy 101 thread on the forums, I think it would be best if we did atleast participate, even if it was more as a gesture than anything else.

I agree, let's at least see what they hash out, even if we refuse to sign it for our people.

In other news, the glorious island nation of Madagascar has expanded to the mainland of Africa with its successful aid of a neighboring country in managing its disorganized territories. The President of Madagascar has humbly accepted the burden of watching over and guiding a large portion of this neighboring country and helping his new citizens achieve the same economic success and equality as the rest of Madagascar.

There were a few regrettable incidents of miscommunication that led to light casualties among the Republican Guard. The President has promised the construction of another free hospital to help those injured in the transition.

If we want to establish ourselves as a large alliance, then we certainly need to at least participate.  Try to be diplomatic though.  We want to make allies, not enemies.

It takes 3 times to align.

This, UBA shouldn't think too highly of itself or it'll become a target. The international coalition is obviously just an apparatus designed to prevent major inter-alliance war over rogue players like the relatively recent events involving the Comintern. There's probably not even such a thing as "making things more favourable to us" possible with the negotiations.

It's known as the Oppai-Kaiju effect. The islands of Japan generate a sort anti-gravity field, which allows breasts to behave as if in microgravity. It's also what allows Godzilla and friends to become 50 stories tall, and lets ninjas run up the side of a skyscraper.

No oil. What a waste of money... Also yes, we should attend, even if we end up as a spectator. Knowledge is power after all.

That last gobbo would stand there, missing an arm, punctured in a kidney, liver, and spleen, fading in and out of consciousness at the far end of where the drawbridge would go, and his last sight would be the drawbridge dropping down and smashing him like a bug.

God DAMN I love this game!
