Also, he is GGU, so you are going to have to take the hit. No one fights the GGU. Assuming you can take him down, that's fine. Although Goons may help him if you start winning. But we cannot attack him.

Not sure about sending aid. If they found out we would possibly get attacked.

I'd attack him, I think he's in my range, but I'm not sure how the GGU'd like it, seeing as you're not in our alliance. You seem like you've got a good chance against him, and I'll send you aid if you need it.

as i said, i don't really want people attacking him, i just want some diplomatic backup to prevent his alliance from jumping on me

He only has 8k troops, and he isn't "officially" in an alliance. Pretty much anyone could just do a smash and grab in 1 turn with trivial effort.
