"Ah well."

Get a new branch for use as a walking stick and potential weapon as I re-enter the jungle in search of other humans.

Well... the rain was making it very difficult for Annie to do much of anything.  She couldn't try to start a fire, and climbing down a cliff is never a good idea, let alone when the cliff is being drenched constantly with sheets of water.  Considering briefly the idea of crossing the log, she decides against it as the rain continues to worsen.

Annie instead starts looking for wood (somehow dry if possible) or other useful objects in the jungle like fruit, flint, or tinder.

If the rain stops she wants to take advantage of that right away and build a campfire, and that would require supplies.

Turn 10: FamishedTurn 9: Still hungry

[4] Joe walks into the heart of the fire and lies down. He manages to rest fairly well, and his dreams (like his waking life) are filled with fire. He awakens fairly well rested, but still hungry. Meanwhile [5]v[2] his fire continues to burn merrily, undaunted by the sheets of water coming down.

[6] Blake searches around the jungle for a stick, when he is struck by an epiphany. He has a pen, which according to most, is a mightier weapon then a sword. Surely if he could use a wet branch for a weapon, he could use his sharp pen just as well. He searches around a bit, and walks upriver to where the fire was, but all he can see is devastation, and there aren’t any humans in sight. He tries yelling, but he can barely even hear himself over the sound of the rain.
[Blake can now use his pen as a weapon, writing skill applies to its attack rolls]

Tony has a tough time deciding whether he should hunt for food or try to settle the river down. In the end he decides to [2] hunt for food, since trying to settle the river down by shouting is rather silly. [4+1-1] He and Kevin dive in, and manage to snag a fish despite being battered by massive waves and turbulent currents from every direction.

[4-2] Jake sets about trying to find the damn monkey that took his stuff went. He manages to spot a monkey far overhead, climbing from tree to tree. After chasing it for a while, they soon come to the river, and the monkey swings on a branch, and [2+2-1] flies over it, barley catching a branch on the other side. It starts to slip, and it drops all the explosives on the ground. Freed of its burden, it manages to barely. Luckily, none of them explode, even the detonator appears to be in good condition. Unluckily, they are all now on the ground on the opposite site of the river.
[Heavy bleeding healed]

[3] Annie trudges around trying to find something useful for starting a fire, but every single thing that she finds is completely drenched. She does manage to find some fruits, but they are high up in a tree and not worth the risk the risk of climbing up to get them. After about a hour of searching she gives up and sits back down.

[5+2] Done with his meal, The Tiger returns to his hunt. Swiftly and silently it fades into the underbrush, preparing to strike at his next target.

[3] The rain continues to pour down steadily.
((For those of you that wonder, 1-2 is less rain, 3-4 is same, 5-6 is more. 1/6 also have other side effects))

If I can feed myself on fire, eat some. If not, look for some sort of creature I can kill for food.

((That's annoying... haha.  Let me change some stuff up.)

Annie feels torn.  For one thing, it's bad to be alone in a jungle with wild beasts and dangerous plants all around.  It's just as bad however, to be in a jungle with lunatics that don't know what they're doing.  Judging from the behavior of her teammates, they seemed to be quite mad.  And there was still the issue of having food that was rather raw and unhealthy to eat in its current form.

Annie decides to try the search for dry wood, tinder, flint, and food again.  But at the same time, she also keeps a look out for other people, looking around periodically with her binoculars for the scattered crew.

Clerical error; everyone is actually hungry, and no one is famished. Somehow I thought it was turn 10, but it was actually tun 9. I noticed it after I already posted the turn (hence the name change), but I guess I forgot to change everyone's status back to hungry.

Search for food and survivors.

Eat food. Greet survivors. Don't mix them up.

Turn 10: Actually Famished

[5] Joe consumes a little bit of the fire, but it doesn’t seem to be much help at all. In the end it takes him eating most of the fire to get any benefits at all. After eating the rest he feels much more full, although he still feels like he could eat far far more.
[Hunger level raised to content 2, as a salamander you get many more levels of hunger although using too much fire at once lowers your hunger level]

[1] Tony grabs the fish, and tries to stuff it in his mouth. It doesn’t work out very well though, as apparently it works out better when you separate it into pieces first. After a few attempts to get it out, he realizes that its stuck in there pretty well, and he doesn’t see any easy way to get it out.
[Choking]
Seeing his chance, Kevin [1+1]v[3-1] desperately flings his mind at the barrier imposed by Tony over his will. Through a combination of Tony’s exceedingly bad concentration at the time and the wearing off of the hammer power, Kevin manages to break free of the mental barriers imposed on him. Kevin only has one thought on his mind: revenge. [3]v[3] Kevin charges at Tony, but even while choking he is able to dodge the attack, although only barely.

[6] Annie walks through the jungle for a about an hour before she stumbles upon some wood. Literally stumbles in this case, for as she puts her foot down, slips, and slides into the mouth of a nearby cave. The cave turns out to be quite small, and completely dry. The only thing that she manages to find is quite a bit of dry wood. Although she ends up with some excellent wood (and a dry place to start a fire) she still lacks anything to start it with.
[3 pieces of Dry wood]

[1] After some rigorous searching, Blake doesn’t find even a hint of a person. After all, he could pass by someone even fifteen feet away, and not even hear them. His sadness at not seeing anyone nearby lessens when he finds a large patch of mushrooms. He grabs them and stuffs his cheeks, and he feels more content very rapidly, although his hunger still isn’t fully assuaged. After about an hour though, he starts to feel very bad indeed. He thinks that perhaps eating mushrooms off the forest floor wasn’t the brightest idea in the world.
[Poisoned]
[4] Searching about, Jake manages to find no less than three sets of mushrooms. He seems to remember from somewhere that one of these mushrooms was very poisonous, but he can’t remember which one.
[Blue Mushrooms gained]
[Green Mushrooms gained]
[Striped Mushrooms gained]
((Eating the mushrooms is a free action outside of combat))

[5+1+1]v[5] However, before Jake can actually choose which of them to eat, The Tiger bounds out of the underbrush, and despite Jake’s best efforts at dodging, he manages to give him three small gashes on his arm.
[-10 HP]
[Light bleeding, Light bleeding, Light bleeding]

[4] The rain continues steadily, drearily blanketing the landscape below. Despite the fact that it is now the middle of the day, it seems almost as dark as it was at night due to all the rain.

((Everyone except for Joe’s hunger level goes down this turn. This means that even if you ate you are still at hungry. If you didn’t, then you are famished.))
