Well, we got the grass, I missed the apples. We can get that still.

What happened to finding apples and grass so we could make wiggles?

I was wondering the same.

Feel the orb. Is it solid, squishy, gaseous?

EDIT: Ew. Like wet squishy, or just malleable? Does it leave imprints or does it return to the original shape?

Then go get some apples and dried grass and combine them again to see if we get the same result (unrefined wiggles).

You remember to go get apples before playing with the dry squishy orb some more. It resets to a orbish shape a few minutes after you set it down, and you come back with an apple and one you've been eating. You stop eating the apple and drop it in the bucket along with some more of the burnt grass, but it immediately evaporates into apple-flavored steam as soon as you start, leaving you with an empty bucket and one less apple. A few minutes later the scent of apple goes away from the general area near this bench.

Hm. We evidently need non-burnt grass...

Locate an area of dead grass.

Its not the grass thats the problem, its that you aren't particularly good at alchemy yet.

You don't see any really dead grass nearby. Theres some frogs though.

You go back to town in search of epic loot. Instead, you find a looter.
You fry her ass and collect the (only slightly melted) metal scrap she probably tore off a building. It seems to be mostly copper, which isn't exactly what you were looking for for your staff. You then drag her into a corner and debate whether or not to use the dead looter as alchemy reagents, before deciding you don't really want to cut up another person, even though it wouldn't exactly be difficult to conjure up a flame blade. But its a possibility, if gruesome.

Moving further into town, you find a goblin looking suspicious at a bunch of frogs and stab them in the fire. Or was it with the fire, there was quite a bit of it and you're slightly overheated from it all...
Either way, you turn in the goblin to the city guard and receive the minor reward for helping keep the city free of thieves: a handful of gold. The cooked frogs you keep for your own purposes.

Make a note to be less of a wuss in the future. Also, we need to acquire more pants.
