You look back in the lab, but a couple others had come while you were admiring your creation and there wouldn't be enough scrap to make an extension to the robutt. So you go back outside and decide to try alchemizing some of the burnt grass midair. It vibrates into an odd tiny energetic kind of thing. Its also kinda hot, so as far as guessing goes, its probably Essense of Minor Fuel. You flask it and it thumps all over the flask before finding a way around that hits the wall minimally.

Feed the fuel to the cyborg frogs

One of the cyobrg frogs, after having the flask poured into it, almost but doesn't quite explode. The minor fuel comes back out shrunken but still there and you rebottle it.

Hook one of the remote-controlled frogs up the the robutt;
Make a controller for the new frog/robutt death machine;
Go to the inn with your pimped out robutt and find some hapless citizen that needs some questing done;
Alternatively, travel to the nearby haunted house/ spooky cave/ enchanted forest etc etc.

Make more Minor Fuel and try alchemizing some with more Minor Fuel. :3

You try adding some minor fuels together, after creating another. This results in an explosion and a depleted pyroagent flopping onto the grass. The grass catches on fire anyway, so now you're standing on top of the Robutt while a small yard's worth of academy grass sits there burning around you. Perhaps you did it completely wrong and needed to take them both out of the flask first, instead of putting both into one flask?

...Theres an explosion to the south in the outskirts of town.

go to the explosion in hopes of learning how to make an even better one

You head to the explosion and find not the essences you expected, but a sizable hole in a building and clashing elementals. Also panicing people and pointing people and generally far too many people around. You also see Tim the pyromancer nearby and a familiar cat, along with a lot of rubble of course.
