"I was going home so I could get drunk. If you want you can come with me."

Yeeaahh.. She looks him up and down, eyeing his stained clothes and unkempt beard (you do have stained clothes and an unkempt beard, right?). No thanks.

You spend the night before the onset of your journey in various ways, most of them celebratory in some manner. It's a great honor to enter the Expanse, after all. One of you gets drunk. Others camp near the entrance, in preparation. Nonetheless, you have the time to reflect on what going into the Expanse actually means. You're giving up... well, something, you feel quite sure. You know what most people probably don't- most people don't know that a person won't age much at all while in the Expanse no matter how long they stay there, or that death in the Expanse is meaningless. Either way, foreboding thoughts or not, you've all assembled and after a quick check you're all soon walking into the reality-warping tear. A wave of heat washes over you, as you open your eyes to an entirely new place for the first time...

ROOM ONE- Wait, no welcoming party?
You all wind up in the same place, just about, but there's no indication that this is where people end up when they first step into the Expanse. Looking around, you see you aren't entirely alone- there's a chest and a large, but seemingly uninterested spider in the corner. The chest is open, and it looks as though there's some sort of tall, flowering stalk inside. The flowers are purple with black centers, and the plant looks to be roughly 3ft. tall.

You also notice a small, folded up pamphlet that seemed to come in with you, although none of you actually grabbed one. The cover states " Dealing with the nonconformity- Noneuclidean architecture and you!

The terrain is rocky but not dry, and there seems to be small patches of rich soil here and there mixed in with the rocks. There's no real cover to hide behind. The overall temperature is warm, but not enough to make you sweat. It's pleasant.

The spider clicks at Stark, before lazily crawling over to the chest. It seems it's built a web very close to the chest.

You see a single door to the north.

You start with a long polearm reminiscent of a scythe, but the blade is too short and stubby to really be called a scythe. The handle is now adorned with a band of cloth, with a long strand of runes inked on.

Mana Projectile (1MP. Conjure a small blade to be thrown at an enemy. An enemy has a chance to spot it if already engaged, but can't counter.)

Brotherhood PASS: Attempts to save a unit about to die in combat by attacking the enemy about to deliver the finishing blow, once per turn. On a d6, requires a 5 or 6.

You start with a large, oval-shaped shield-claw hybrid. You can use it like a claw or use it's shield in combat.
(-2 DEX, +2STR, +1 to blocking rolls) (Successful blocks always result in a counterattack.)

You start with a whitewood bow, the design of which has wide, thinner arms allowing for easier pullback but reducing range.
